Honey I thought I did everything right, waited, had premarital Christian counseling and I still ended up single after a marriage. I didn't have any children in the marriage because I wanted us to wait until we were more financially secure but that did not happen during the marriage. I still have a lot of healing to do and I'm with a therapist for life now. My mental health was neglected until I was 32. So I have to undo 32 years of conditioning. Hopefully, by 62 most of it will be settled. I'm 41 now. Most days, I'm just glad to be alive and debt free.

@@artisticagi I think both my former husband and I had poor emotional intelligence and emotional resilience. We both also had dysfunctional fathers and emotionally unavailable mothers. I think we knew we didn't want to be dysfunctional but we were never taught the tools and the skills to have healthy coping strategies and coping skills to stress and triggers. I think we both tried our best but it wasn't meant to be.

Let's think as sisters who love each other. Doing things right is a blessing, but who were you doing them right for? Was it for God or you? Were you in the flesh (lust) to yearn for the marriage to this man? Did you pray to God was this the man for you to marry? God said that the earth was good once He created it, so He looked at us and said that we were good. This is the same for His sacred marriage institution. Leave Hollywood in Hollywood. Trust me God will bless you with your own husband. Some of our people are lost with this adultery and polygamy lie. God will not be mocked. Hollywood mocks God and marriage. These celebrities treat marriage like a joke. Don't marry a man, because you look good together. Sister, those people in Hollywood don't even look good without being made up or photoshopped. Most of them have dark hearts. We must look for men who accept us. I am 100% for Black love and Black, beautiful babies. I pray our Father sends you one of His handsome sons who will love you as the beautiful person you are and adores your daughter as his own. I pray this man complements you and you complements him. Husband and wife must complete each other. It is a 50/50. A wife cannot take over his role to love you as the church, and the husband cannot take over her role to submit to sound-minded decisions by the spouse. This world wants to pervert everything God created to be good. Please don't marry a man who follows everything this world does. Shalom.

"Doing everything right" is such a myth and it has a lot of us in a chokehold, I personally hate it. Honestly, I feel like some people don't even have to be divorced or separated to be a single mom. Wow! Temi, you are soooo me!!! Everything you said and experienced, I'm in the middle of at this very moment. I was married and then had my son. When my son was 10 months old, me and my husband separated. Everyone always says, "Oh I'm so sorry to hear that!" And I'm like, "please don't be sorry, because I'm not"!!!! My mental health has been redeemed and I am happier within my self. Going from married with a child to being a single mom hasn't been easy. But I take care of my son very well and we are truly happy. And that's all that matters! I wish you the very best.

For some women/men, they don't want to be judged or ridiculed because they decided to end their marriage for whatever reason. But yeah...I'm with you! It's so important that when life throws you a curve that you get back up or straighten up and keep moving forward. It's also vital that you achieve a healthy mental status, especially when children are involved. I went down that road many years ago without support and with 3 children. Through my faith in God and prayer, also being determined, I got through it and raised them to the best of my ability, learning and applying wisdom etc. We are all close because I kept them close and made myself available. I love your comment, but Jesus is not the Father, please study the scriptures sis. Yahshua aka Jesus is the sacrificial lamb the high priest that died for our sins because in the beginning our forefathers had to make blood sacrifices by lambs, goats etc. to the Father. Yahshua is the everlasting sacrifice for our sins. He never said to worship him, he stated he came in his Fathers name, when he went out to pray he prayed to Our Father in Heaven, we can only come to the Father through him, he showed us that we can keep our Father Yahuah/God statues, laws, and commandments in the flesh. I'm adding another message because you mentioned in a previous video about your mental health and the relationship that you had with your mother who passed away. I had a difficult relationship with my father and it caused problems in my life- career-wise and my ability to be a wife and a mother. I know these things are very painful but I think you should find a safe space to talk about these things with a trained professional. We need to break generational trauma and pain. I know a lot of KZbinrs who divorced and became single moms so you are not alone in that aspect. Think of it as a journey.
