I didn't fully move out of my mom's house until I was 30. I was a broke grad student at 25. I'm living my independent, single life, and no longer feel the pressure to be a wife and mom (although shout out to those who do!). Congrats on making a move to your dream city!

Btw, you still can change your job later in life, too. Like a woman in my study program (a now friend of mine) started over again at 44 years. She worked 15 years in her previous job and said she was kinda done with it. And even after university, she still has more than 20 years to work in her new career. So if you are desperate about it (and can figure out the circumstances), go for it!

I myself have been struggling with whether I should quit my boring but stable 9-to-5 career. The one thing that really prevents me from doing that is that I know my career will still be relatively stable for many years, until I get old. I will have less and less energy as I get older, so at least I will be doing something quite stable. But for a content creator, which is something that is quite recent, no one has really experienced it as a long-term career. Also, content creation GENERALLY seems to mostly favor younger people, and it requires a lot of energy too. What are your thoughts about that?

For me, my dream is to be an artist, Painter, Im so freaking good at drawing (Even tho I'm just 16😭). I got the talent from my father who was a famous painter in his country but got sick, unrecognised and his dreams broke and he hated everything. I know it's bad to live someone's dream. But this is who I am, so selfless especially towards my dad that I love the most. Im studying a thing in high school called "Mathematical technician" to be a Mechanical Engineer (Because in the area where I live I do not have any capabilities to develop my drawing talent, so i MUST make a life for myself). I'll make that job a life-job. And the painting a hobby, (just for now) cuz i wanna gain some money, and travel to the country of my dream and I WISH to be a big painter there and achieve that dream of my father. I also want to share my content on social media. And that way ill have three things to do in my life, the painting, the normal job and a youtuber or maybe tiktoker or anything else related to sharing an art content on SNS (I could quit my original job if I was able to, and had a source of money) and also achieved the dreams of my life💜 It's so hard. But every good dream starts with a difficult start!

In my country optometrists are not really doctors they are like lab technicians but for optical devices. They can’t prescribe medications, give investigations or do any eye related surgery or treatments

She said that she’s an Optometrist and keeps referring ‘eye doctor’ so I don’t know how it works where she is at. Unless she got a PhD in optometry, which gives you a title of Doctor. Because in most countries and Australia, optometrists are not doctor, but Ophthalmologists are (they go through medical school and specialised in eye areas). But happy for her that she have found her calling and doing what makes her happy ❤

Optometrist here, she is Canadian like I am and in Canada and in the States, optometrists graduate as “doctors of optometry” who are able to prescribe medication and diagnose and perform procedures. Depending on some states, we’re even able to perform more invasive procedures like injections or laser treatments.

I wish I had that privilege of even having my own bed/room. I live with parents in a 1 bedroom like bruh USA is so expensive. And my parents lost their job and so did I. So everyday is a struggle 😪 I’m 21 ;-; homelessness is one bill away 😢 I need rootcanals and I can‘t afford the crowns , I need an endodontist but one 1 takes my state insurance . we don’t have cars so we have to use public transportation and it‘s 2 hours away from 😭😭 ITS SO HARD TO NOT KMS FR !!!
