I'd rent the bus to someone with land that can use it for an airbnb, even at £25/ day you'd get over £9k a year. Someone running a site would prob rent it out at £2-300/night peak season. Even autumn winter could be popular as it has a hot tub. There are loads of glamping short stay, unique places around that wouldn't want to invest £30/40k in a bus outright.

I’m 54. I’ve followed the channel for around 6-7 years. I’ve learned in my own life that we make decisions as best we can and not all of them will be good ones. Financial advice: You're starting a family in Costa Rica. Don't try to simultaneously run a business in the UK. Spend 2 months to get the bus to its highest resale value, and sell. Sell it as a party bus or tiny house or whatever brings in the most money. Take that cash, and roll it into your life in Costa Rica. You could always buy one of the beautifully decorated chicken buses in CR & turn it into a business there (Airbnb, travel hostel, etc.).

Hey Louis, I'm not sure about the UK specifically but I am not too sure you would be able to rent out a bus as a tiny home because of building and safety codes. Hopefully you check into that before you get in too deeply. That being said with the van life trend I think you could get back close to what you put in selling it as an alternative to an RV or something like that. You just need to find the correct buyer.
