Age is a priviledge and a blessing. My Dad used to say, as he was dying from cancer, andeven before, "every day I am pushing the grass down and not up is a good day." You are doing it, not trying, you are doing it, Elle. Big hug.

My son was born Feb 2nd 2022 after a battle with infertility and IVF. Within days I knew something wasn't right. Still trying to determine the cause but it's looking like cerebral palsy. We know he has tethered spinal cord at least but it doesn't explain the weakness in the left arm and shoulder and core. I'm still trying to get through this whole supporting my son but I'm hopeful. He's doing amazing.

I have found that after losing my brother in a car accident, then my Dad was murdered, coupled with 3 miscarriages, I have honestly lost or forgotten who I was before. Trauma changes you to the core, and honestly I have had to come to terms with it. I also did PTSD counseling, which was a game changer!

Thank-you Elle for this video. An inspiration for all to watch. I lost my 5 yr old daughter 3-1/2 yrs. ago after a long battle with kidney and liver disease. We lived in and out of hospital her entire life. We tried our hardest to give her the best life despite the incredible challenges. Her loss has been devastating. Learning to live through the grief and trauma is a whole other dimension to try to wrap your head around and stay sane and figure out my own path. I live now day by day for my daughter. She gave me the most beautiful 5 yrs. My heart goes out to you and healing for your amazing daughter. ❤

All of this is so true. I lost my sister, brother and mother all from 2018 to 2020. People ask me how I stay so positive because I was so close to all of them and I have no family left. I do a gratitude journal every morning. I walk my dog at 5am and workout. It sets my day up for success. And of course I get sad but I don't stay in the sadness. I talk to my family in heaven on my morning walks and I know they wouldn't want me to be miserable every day. And i have been in therapy for 10 years, it helps so much to just let everything out to a professional. Love you Elle. I have been here since the beginning and think you are amazing. And I absolutely love Peter Monn. I watch all of his channels and honestly, his vlogs got me through the rough days after my mom passed away.

Tomorrow, Valentine's Day, is the anniversary of my husband's death. This day kills me and it feels advertised and in my face for the 6 weeks before it with Valentine's Day everywhere so but the time it's here, I am physically and mentally wiped out. It never gets easier. He was my rock since we were teenagers. The last time we saw him alive he was helping me and our sons do Valentine's for their class the next day, then he kissed us and went up to bed. I woke that Valentine's Day morning at age 41 and found him. He is now in heaven with our infant son, his namesake. I then lost my mom, my cousin (my children's godfather) and my best friend all within 18 months of his death. Some losses you never get over. My life has been getting our 5 living children through grief, while all 5 grieve 5 different ways. Widowhood, grieving children and PTSD for Valentine's Day...worst gift ever.

Thank you Elle, this talk was so very brave of you to share. I lost my brother 4 years ago, and I am a 52 year old woman who has metatizied leiomyoma sarcoma, and for the last 2 years, I have gone through the heaviest chemo treatment, a 20cm tumor removed along with my left kidney, 2 liver resections in the past 7 months, multiple round of radiation, and just last month 2 heavy rounds of radiation on my lungs for 2 tumors. I am the person who is the “leader” of my family, the strength, the positive one…simply bc that is who I am, and I have to be. It’s difficult being “the one” who is directly having this happen “to me”, physically and psychologically. I never knew my strength, but I struggle with my mother. She is living in that space of “why is this happening to me”, and cannot look at me without her face in complete despair. I understand that this is not a way to live. And my mother’s “beliefs” will never change out of the negativity and utter despair of watching me go through all of these treatments and knowing that my time is limited. I hear you beyond, and you are right. A person HAS TO WANT TO change their beliefs to do so. And you as a mother, have exhibited great strength in pulling yourself out of that deep yet easy souls of “bad things always happen to me”. Your daughter is lucky to have a mother with so much strength and who can see beyond “the tragedy”. It is infectious. And I pray for your family as I do for myself and mine. Life can throw some pretty horrific things your way, and there are 2 choices. Get sucked in frozen in horror, or move past the horror and move forward, wherever “forward” might bring you. I live here in the east bay, and know that you used to live here too. Something that helped me at the very beginning of “my story of strength”, is watching AGT, and a singer known as Nightbitde, auditioned. She sang beautifully, and after her performance, she said that it was so important for her to show the world that “she was not all the bad things that happened to her.” And she said she had a 2% chance to live, but to her 2% wasn’t 0% percent. Her smile and strength was so beautiful. I urge you to watch that. There are few who are able to lift themselves out of tragedy, because it so encompassing. You have that strength, and I understood every word you shared with us. It’s hard to REALLY understand unless you are actually amidst a continuing horror. My heart understands your heart. You have chosen a better way to live, although very difficult to, it’s very easy to get weighed down by the horror.❤❤❤❤

Thank you so much for being so candid Elle. I was born blind in my left eye and was bullied as a young child and felt so unattractive. I worked hard on myself and refused to let that define me. I decided at a young age that people were going to see me and not just my blind eye. Now I am so very grateful that I was blessed in the womb, before I was even born, with sight! I have a very outgoing personality and am a very optimistic person. You’ve heard about the glass being half empty or half full? I am so happy and grateful to even have a glass! BTW, I have been using NuFace for about 3 years and something happened that I did not expect……..my blind eye was always droopy and my eyebrow was lower on the blind eye than my other eye, now because of NuFace my eyelid is much, much, more open and my eyebrow is also raised. Fantastic! Thanks again Elle!

Thank you Elle, I will keep your daughter, you and your family in my prayers. I lost my oldest son 14 years ago this year, the most challenging loss I have ever experienced! I would not of made it through that time until this very day without the love of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The verse Phillipians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything. instead, in every situation with prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. And the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and mind in Jesus Christ. That and my go to verse Jeremiah 29:11. Gods blessings to you.

Thank you Elle for opening your heart & allowing yourself to be vulnerable with us. I FEEL your heart, & it's a Beautiful one! Going through sexual abuse trauma, especially at a young age is DEVASTATING, & life altering. I know, as I am a Survivor too. And then to be abused again in early adulthood (me too), just reignites the trauma, pain & suffering. There are no words to explain to the "average person" what that does to one's soul. I am glad you are getting the therapy to heal from that. And it is just unimaginable to have a beloved child go through So Much!!! There is nothing that will bring you to your knees more than that! I'm so happy that Grey's health has turned around, & for her continued healing. Thank God your husband is your rock! Sending much love & prayer's!🙏🙌🫂💕🕊️ I saw this saying in a meme online, & it so resonated with me, so I made it my screen saver. "Be kind, for everyone you meet is going through something unimaginable that you know nothing about."

I've followed you since you lived in another state and then for a little time after you got to Colorado. The family was going through working on Gray's seizures at that time. I've been absent from this platform since early 2022. I'm sorry to hear about Gray's diagnosis, but thank you so much to for sharing she is moving along like a trooper and how you got to be a trooper. You mentioned your husband was really so supportive to you even in his time of worry/sadness/wonder. It's so very IMPORTANT and not everybody gets that. In February of 2021 I became a caregiver for the person that is the most important to me in the WORLD and later I suffered a terrible loss. I became the caregiver for quite some time and then the hospice nurse (yes, I'm a nurse) then, "poof". I've experienced so many identical emotions/feelings. To this day I can't lose the weight from 135 to 170 and I am a vegan and always have been. My doctor calls it, "stress induced". It was really nice to come upon your video today with what you have been experiencing to date and how you are coping and learning to deal with all the emotions and all that goes along with this journey we travel. I have no doubt she's a fighter... I always looked at your little necklace with the, "G," and loved it back when I followed you prior. YOU are so strong to pull yourself up and talk to yourself and or others to help/guide you when you fall and give yourself a talking to. I really envy that. I am not as strong..... Prayers for Gray's recovery and your continued fight with all the emotions, ups and downs mentally that may come to your mind. I do envy your strength Elle and keep it going.....

Thank you, Elle, for sharing. What a beautiful message I took from this, DO NOT let your trials become your identity! Crucify those attitudes and beliefs. What you focus on will expand. It becomes your truth. In reality, it's all lies we have the ability to make new truths, mine is now through God's word, the great I am. I was my Moms care giver through her cancer. There were lots of why her and why me going through this? I will be praying for Grey to stay in health, she is God's child and you are her steward to do exactly what you are doing. I pray for you to continue bringing us insight and know God has brought you through this to be able to bring us this content and more! God bless you!! You are such a insperation.

I heard an affirmation yesterday “ I am asserting the mastery of my real self” and it struck a cord. I am 54, a wife and mom of 4 adult children and help run our small business. Over the years “myself “ has not been a priority.. we always find a reason right? I have begun to put myself first.. I will wash my face and do skincare before I get lost in the morning hustle.. I will go sit and watch my chickens when I feel overwhelmed.. I might not answer a call if I think I need a moment… just little things that put me first. That’s not easy for this Capricorn 🤣 but I feel so much more alive by simply doing these things.. I have to work on being me and my true self.. not just what the hustle of life pushes me towards. Thanks Elle for sharing!!💕

Thanks so much for this!! I totally understand!! I'm going to be 56 this year, this past decade has been extremely difficult, life has hit hard! I lost my husband, was caregiver for both parents, now they are gone...I've known you mainly thru Merle Norman Cosmetics as I have been a Studio owner for 22 years... so glad I've found your YT channel!! xoxo Jennifer 💋

Such important thoughts you mentioned here Elle. It is such a challenge to change our mindset to a more positive, motivating place. I love how you found (or are still finding) a way to do this. It is always a journey because we always have bumps & obstacles in the way. Thanks for sharing. Terrific video

🤟🏻establishing a daily self care routine exploring the virtual tool kit is transforming. I see it in you and myself too. The last five years following a particularly life changing year when due to cancers, death, and empty nest. I felt so lost, sad, and alone, feeling that I couldn’t talk about it because I was overreacting. I gave myself permission to fully feel my emotions and made it a priority to care for my well being FIRST every day. I began to have lighter moods, sense of relief, and less negative emotional overwhelm. I’ve learned so much about myself and what grounds me; and I now look forward to this personal time of mindful practice in my safe place each day. Be well all❤

You are so awesome Elle, mothers are the care givers, teachers, running the home etc. when I was younger as a mom of three and a husband that traveled. I was so hard on myself and expectations. I learned self talk, yoga and meditation. I found a calm voice. With age I found peace and acceptance and love who I am. Things will always happen and we don’t get to choose. Things we would never choose for ourselves. I focus on the positive. I am with you that I also limit news and negative content it is so toxic. I love walking too. I am so grateful for your platform it’s kind and like this you talk to us about topics as women we deal with and feel. Big hug Elle thank you so much. 🙏❤️

You are the most beautiful soul Elle! I’m so glad Gray is doing better and you are so wise. I love what you said about wisdom. It’s amazing how you have moved through such difficulties. We live in a very fear and drama based society, we have to proactively choose to block it out to protect ourselves. I used to dance too, I love barre and Pilates classes too. You might like that in addition to orange theory. Also just dance in your house or find local classes. You are on the right path, pray you continue to blossom as you are doing so well🌸

This is amazing, we need to work together, to give ourselves permission to take care of ourselves, take time for ourselves, to give ourselves positive self talk! To allow ourselves to explore who we are, what we love, what makes us feel joy and happiness. Praying for you, thank you again. This is beautiful ❤

Thank you Elle, your such an inspiration! You have definitely been through a lot and I see and know that you are doing the best to push through and forward. We always forget how incredibly important it is to just wake up in the morning and have another day of life. We tend to forget how lucky we are just by being grateful! Everyone has something or someone that's going through something or just dealing with the struggles of daily life. You have had your share and keep going ❤. It was a great talk to share and still you share full heartily. Your a wonderful person and everything you said has helped each and everyone with their trials and tribulations. Lots of love sent to you and your family and know that we are so lucky to have you in our life! My prayers are always with you and your family 😊

Thank you Elle, I needed this. I’m miserable in my marriage of 24 years. I let my teenage daughters down by staying and showing them what an unhealthy relationship looks like. I’m not in a position of financial strength to leave. Not having money is awful. I tell my daughters to make sure they have a “run fund” so they are never in a situation like me. 💔🙏🏼

I’m so sorry, Bobbi. I have always been an independent woman because I’m scared to death of being “stuck”. I didn’t like what I saw growing up and decided I will never be dependent on a man. I know too many women in your situation and I hate it for you. It’s never too late to do what you have to do. Please don’t give up. Big hugs!

I am praying for you to find happiness and peace. Freedom is such a powerful thing! I gives you power! Sometimes it’s easy to stay in your comfort zone, & like my sister-in-law told me 30 years ago …if you’re going to go, then just go. I was afraid of what would be on the other side but I left and had a life. It’s had some hardships (I just lost my 2nd husband to cancer and am extremely lost right now) but sometimes you have to make a move. It’s like Nike …just do it!
