Yup, I'm a sugarholic. I joke that I get my junk food at the health food store, but it's totally true. I Love dark chocolate squares, almond butter cups, and Zevia (no sugar and calories, but still sweet, and I'll drink root beer or cream soda if Zevia isn't available). I also want my coffee (on the rare occasions I drink coffee) to resemble a chocolate shake. I don't stick the house with it, so my consumption is nowhere near as bad as it could be. I also Love water, coconut, broccoli, bananas, and taking my supplements with low sodium veggie juice, which is probably one of the main things keeping me alive. I can only take naps, because I have to reposition my mother every two hours all day every day, including overnight (I have helpers, usually in the afternoon). I've lost some weight in the past six months, and gained some muscle tone in the nearly six months I've been doing this. By the grace of God, my mom has actually been healing, which I've been told is rare. She might even have to get off of hospice soon, which means I'll have to subsidize her care in other ways, and my wedding is still set for an indeterminate future date. Anyhew, I ramble when I'm tired. Much Love and many blessings to you and your family. ❤

TBH, I really enjoyed you guys covering “relevant” culture topics and also going live and chatting with the people. I’ve found myself not clicking as much because the topics you guys cover now is more dating/relationship based and I’m just not into that as much. I feel like cultural topics is something everyone can relate to and have an opinion on whereas, relationships is more of a targeted audience. However, y’all mentioned in the past that you felt led more towards relationship topics so .. but just my feedback 💖

The fact that Paul thinks drinking a sweet drink is worse than drinking alcohol is ridiculous. No one got in a car and hit someone (possibly kill) after drinking a coffee drink. Alcohol is connected to all kinds of problems including spousal abuse and murder connected to that, accidents, etc. I am not legalistic. That being said, deciding to drink should be taken seriously as a Christian. You can easily stumble others as well. Candace Owen's did a very good video on this topic recently, you might want to check it out.

Not hating on blended families as a whole. I know some work out and it's wonderful. However, sometimes, the blended family can be more traumatizing than the loss of the original parent. A step parent isn't interchangeable with the original lost parent. When someone with children under 18 chooses to remarry, there are so many factors that need to be prayerfully considered because there are children involved. A single parent household is better than a toxic environment. I know that question was hypothetical but that's my 2 cents.

Food can be used for so much good. Steve Hoppe said it best-food can be seen as a god, garbage, or a gift. Some people idolize food so much they plan their whole day around it. Others view every “unhealthy” food or drink as garbage. And then some see it as a gift. Truly being thankful for some of the delights of food and drinks and appreciating what a gift it is that God allowed us to have tastebuds to enjoy food and use it as a thing to converse and love others! Is it a fact that sugary Starbucks drinks provide nutritional value? Not quite. But does that really mean they shouldn’t be enjoyed? Or better yet, that we tell others it is wrong of them to enjoy them? Idolizing food can also come in the forms of obsessing over health. Eat until satisfied. Nourish with good foods. Enjoy with friends and family and celebrations. Stop worrying about what you look like or what you shouldn’t eat. Honor your body but there is a balance to everything.
@megan7506 Жыл бұрын
I’ve lost 25 pounds and counting and still get Starbucks! Modifications (like almond milk and sugar free syrups) just need to be made and my average drink I get has about 90-100 calories. It’s important to enjoy the things you like but make healthier modifications as needed!

As a widow, yes, it is awkward to think about, even in the last few months when he was ill. And yes I agree with you folks' answer; taking time to grieve, considering all factors, and going with God's leading is the right answer. It's gonna be 15 years for me soon, and I ended a dating relationship that lasted over a year. I have always said that I wouldn't count on re-marrying, but wouldn't say never either. Morgan, I am seriously considering becoming a postpartum dula because of my birth experience and the lack of support / medical care that I am many other mothers face. It makes me so sad that you are struggling still but I hope the Lord continues to heal you and am glad that you can find outlets. On the views down thing I wanted to say I have been one of those people who haven't watched. I don't do well with controversy and I get second hand embarrassment really easily. The thumbnails just look so UNCOMFORTABLE that I cannot make myself click. I know other people enjoy that type of thing though I am just speaking from personal experience. On the wait loss thing I think we seriously underestimate the role of hormones in how it regulates our metabolism. I have PCOS and have continued to gain weight as I have had babies in my 20s. From the research I've done I think mine is caused by excess cortisol, so a low calorie starvation diet (which I know I shouldn't do but when I look in the mirror the devil tempts me do think about) wouldn't even be helpful because it would increase my stress hormones and make me hold on to every calorie that I ate. Diet and exercise are still very important but not 100% of the determining factor like many think. 80% of my diet is very healthy and I do my best to get movement everyday, so it's just been frustrating to see the weight creep up over the years.

There seemed to be a negative stigma implied when Morgan asked Paul if he would want her to raise Luka as a single mom if he were to die. There's nothing weird about a widowed mom (or dad) not wanting to remarry, whether they have minor kids or not. Even if you believe that the family unit should be a mom, dad, then children, there's nothing negative about a widowed mom not wanting to remarry. She can incorporate Godly men into Luka's like without needing to remarry. In addition to familial role models such as grandfathers or uncle's, Paul's close friends could serve as close male mentors in the child's life. I'm sure Paul would love that.
@Romans08.31 Жыл бұрын
I feel like it would depend on how old I was but also I would have to try and be extremely conscious of not overly comparing every man to my deceased husband and that wouldn’t be fair because no one could ever measure up and be him so it would have to be a word from God or I feel him definitively guiding me and giving me the okay towards a certain man because I think of so many instances where it can go wrong, I think I would lean on the Godly men in my life and my husbands family to help me and pray God fills the gaps where I can’t because I am not a man and I have a son to raise, I do have a friend who lost her husband and had a 18 month old daughter, I really don’t believe that you have to have a husband to raise Godly children as long as you have Godly men in your church that will help and step in or men in your life, we are called to care for the widows, the word does say if the young widow should remarry so if thats the case God would have to bring that man to me because I am not going to go searching

Luckily for me, I'm not looking to make money on my channel, which leaves me free to slack on it hard, not feel forced to spend money I may not have on better camera and editing equipment, use extra time to attempt to nap, and I can keep taking care of my mom full time. Before even getting the drink, i felt guilty because i know its not good for me and i truly don't need it. But i was justifying it in my head that it was okay because i am going to be working late into the evening. Honestly, this happens often. Most of the time i don't even crave sugar, i just eat/drink it because i think it will make me feel happy...when in reality, it makes me UNhappy! After i eat it, i feel bad about myself and the cycle continues. So thank you for addressing this and asking us to take responsibility for our health/our physical bodies because God wants us to take care of ourselves, and you reminded me of that today.

I don’t know if you saw but there have been homosexual accusations made against him. This is one of two things. 1. The actor playing the part of Jesse Lee Peterson is homosexual and JLP the actor has caught up with JLP the character. 2. The production company has decided to end the show, so they put in plants so the character can get cancelled and move on with his acting career because five years is a long time to play one role. He probably wants to do something other than play the character JPL.

Brigades can hit small channels hard. You're wearing algorithm ankle weights but when they finally pass engagement will skyrocket from you becoming stronger content creators. Consider creating a second channel with advertiser friendly content. Maybe a podcast-ish bible study group similar to Jordan Peterson's Exodus series with just you and your friends. Think of ways to create content with lasting value like BibleProject type videos. That way you get clicks from search terms with eternal popularity instead of short-term recommendations. That can give you more stability. Develop a reputation that will position you to get paid to speak, produce films, whatever you want to do. Quit hustling and start building. Think long term Paul, otherwise the haters win 😂 And dude believe in yourself, look at your wife. Oh but she laughs too much lmao! Proverbs 20:12 my friend. Fun is the antidote to over-thinking, just ask your beautiful fun-loving wife who beat depression and who's name literally rhymes with "more fun". Fun is the main reason why people watch youtube 😉 God laughs too you know.
