A relationship w/ God comes through prayer and communication... And Abba communicates w/ each of us in different ways. Because that is the nature of a personal relationship. Good for you, dear ❤️

I am so happy about your experience with your Mom but I feel I need to clarify what's really the situation with Disfellowshipping. It's simply not true that JW's are now free to talk to a DF person. What they actually said is that JW's are now allowed to invite a DF relative to the KH (that particular announcement, btw, was around the memorial time) so they actually said--- you are free to invite a relative to the memorial but you are not to carry on a conversation with the DF relative. And if a relative did attend a meeting they can say "Hello, it's good to see you here" and THAT IS ALL. The GB member added that this "courtesy does not apply to any known Apostate person. They are not to carry on any form of conversation, not even a greeting to an Apostate. Therefore, your Mom was actually breaking the rules--GOOD FOR HER!!!. I am convinced and is my opinion that the Org never does anything simply for the members. They know how to appear as if they are. They only opened this tiny new change because of losing their religious status in Norway and I've heard that they are getting more and more pressure from government officials about their inhumane practices of disfellowshipping. That's probably why they now have, also just changed the term Disfellowship to "removal" of the person from the Org.

"He got disfellowshipped for it around two years ago." Even though it was 20 years after the fact, in the J-Dub's head, it's like, "See? All you needed to do was wait on Jehovah."

So cool --thanks for sharing something so personal Vevian ...it was wonderful to hear about your gift of composure and your display of unconditional love and true grace in your demeanor and the gentle caring way you handled your Mom , even in her indoctrinated state....I am certain your family could not deny your deep inner peace , tranquil calm and your compassionate nature!!.... all evidence of your healing journey and your waking up with true vision of what the Truth really is!! I believe the work you do brings a meaningful and much needed healing to this world - you have inspired me these past couple years (even though I decided against sharing my story last year , its something I am still considering when the time is right)

Thank you for the update. As you have been working on your own healing, it seems as though your parents may have done some of their own reflecting. Many people have had time for reflection during the pandemic because life for most people ended up really slowing down. Groups will sometimes keep their followers very busy so that they won't take the time to reflect on the things that they have been instructed to do by their leadership.

Yes! I think all these years away from my family has given them the time to reflect and also has given me time away from them to heal❤️

That was an absolute wonderful testimony, & I, along with so many xjw's are sincerely elated that yout Fleshly Parents 'Talked' 2U, but, me personally, I have to ask:: How does Jesus & His Father FEEL about this 12 & 1/2 yr old doctrine ? I'm so happy for you, that your Mom & Dad , outside the box, acted as a Mom & Dad. 25 yrs as an Elder. Out for the last 8 yrs, along with my Wife of 41yrs & all my 5 children & 11 Grandchildren. May Jehovah and His Son bless & strengthen you . Vancouver Canada 🇨🇦

Vevian, we’ve known your mom and aunt for many many years and your mom studied with my aunt Iman. I, too was married to an abusive scumbag LOSER whose parents went to the Arabic congregation with your mom and they all covered the abuse for their son and not a single elder or anyone did anything. I am happily remarried to the love of my life and have three amazing, beautiful children! This organization covers ALL TYPES of abuse! I am soooooooo proud of you Vevian. Your story is encouraging to all who have to go through this. Thank goodness for myself my mother was NEVER an extreme witness but my heart breaks for those who have that. My mom no longer attends and neither do my husband or myself because we know this organization is run by Satan and not God. Thank God Almighty and his son Jesus Christ for us WAKING UP to this CULT! YOU ARE STRONG! I DONT KNOW YOU BUT IM PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!! You are amazing and an a wonderful example of how Christian’s SHOULD be (yet your mom says you can’t be one because you don’t read the Bible lol). Thank God you have a beautiful husband who loves and cherishes you and thank god you have his family who show what unconditional love looks like. My husbands mother is a NARCISSIST and literally the most over righteous witness there is 🤣 thank god though he has my family who loves him to the moon and back. Witnesses only know conditional love! But I’m happy you were able to have a conversation with you mom and it went well. Hopefully it’ll soften her heart and it’ll continue. Maybe show her the scriptures in 2 Corinthians 2:5-11 where Paul LITERALLY says to not be harsh in the punishment of someone who has sinned so that he may not be overwhelmed in excessive sadness so then to only be overreached by Satan! Witnesses will NEVER read that. But send that one to your mom and see exactly what the apostle Paul said. Anyways, hope you keep this up!!!! And I hope you continue to live your best life and spread awareness and positivity!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

You have two kinds of people in religious cults. The brainwashed ones who have nothing to do with family members who have left the religion. The other half who want to see their family members but are filled with guilt and fear of being shunned themselves.I have found that lots of them sneak around to see them.I personally would never turn my back on my children if they decided to leave.I would never secretly meet with them but would publicly and openly see them.
