Yep. Been there. My brain will never be “right” ever since I attempted suicide 2x in one week in 2017. Since then, I’ve had horrific seizures; waking up on my bathroom floor not knowing what was happening or how I got there with blood dripping down my face from a laceration. After 3 days in hospital for severe malnutrition, I was handed a bipolar diagnosis. Short-term memory is gone. I keep a specific journal of “events.” I was fitted with ekg & brain probes all of which were attached to a large machine. I’m blessed with a very caring husband, who sometimes has to carry me when my legs just go out from under me. It sounds like your immune system is severely compromised. I’m so sorry. I’ve learned so much from your videos. I loved it when you revealed your “secret” library space. You’re so adorable. Also, capable, altruistic & extraordinarily kind person. My husband had a near-death experience after a catastrophic car accident. He was heading toward “the light,” but was also instructed it wasn’t his Time.

Isn’t it amazing how these things work out. You were with loved ones when you needed them most. I also have a hard time letting others help me so I can relate to that conflict. Glad you are mending. One of the reasons I follow you is that you are a total badass and so independent. But in our independent life, the universe reminds us of the beauty in having loving family and community as well. Get well!

Great to see you on the mend I've worked with TBI patients for 25+ years an am now joined the ranks as I had a fall a couple of years ago. Like you I just do what I feel comfortable with and like you I have auditory issues with music overlaying conversations plus large fluctuations in volumes on videos. This is why I really enjoy your videos, they are calming and enjoyable to watch all the way from NZ.

Havent commented before but have been loving your channel. I appreciate your honesty and your laugh is infectious! Im really glad you were near to your parents. I had a student with TBI ( I'm a retired teacher now). What you describe about being in the noisy busy world of school rang so familiar to me. Thank you for reminding me of what you and my dear former student have to go through on a daily basis. I hope you had understanding and patient teachers back then. Take care and dont worry about your subscribers. We will be here when you feel better. Your content is too sweet and peaceful, useful and interesting for us to go anywhere. We'll wait to see the beautiful scenery and Frank chomping on wood while you pick berries and sneak away from mama bears. Your videos are my personal Zen. Maybe that is what you were sent back for; People need your peace and positivity! And your lovely laugh. Take care of yourself.

I’ve had to really change in many ways in order to understand and accept his condition as he has some moments and days or weeks where he isn’t himself. This is not advice, just my experience with period pain. Period pain is horrible. I had it for every single period for 34 years - I had terrible cramps, would vomit and get migraines. Every time I saw commercials about tampons, (especially ones with young girls smiling and dancing about) I would feel like throwing something at the tv. I finally decided to have a hysterectomy - I ended up with a staph infection at my wound and spent 21 days in the hospital, but still consider it to be the best decision I have ever made. Thankfully I am in Australia so all medical expenses. medications and hospital stay was free.

After my initial fall I fell all the time and I will still have moments when I fall and feel like I'm in a fog and get the pins and needles feeling. You are an inspiration to us all. I have cared for a friend who had a TBI cranium was removed for swelling. I was called at around 1 am after becoming a health care proxy. For those who haven't any clue what this in tails of, the list if responsibility that comes with this; I advise knowing before signing up to do so. I through myself into it because no family was known of and she is a dear friend. I was it. Call was the start to many years 7 to be exact. And yes she is much better but never has she become completely the Terri we remember but a new stronger woman and friend family to us today. I am so glad that if this had to happen "you were with family". Scary for all of you but your ride or die Frank had to be the most fearful of what was happening. As you not to long just walked through this with your ride or die Franky. 💯 My brother recently had moved into my home after his now ex wife left him in his hour of need. Enough said. My brother he ain't heavy as song goes... isn't completely true. He is a big strong 52 year old man. Burned 90% of his body crawling out from a house fire January 1975 he was only just 5 years old. After TBI 17 strokes 2 years ago. He worked hard made good money played hard and took care of friends and wife for years. When in hour of need I was his ride or die. Again I was the one. Amanda you are my new inspiration and Flossy also as many van dwellers lives here. My brother died in his ride with his ride or die Patch a red healer like Franky look very much alike. I turned my brother onto KZbin. We watch Bush craft radical and his friends. My brother came alive in these KZbin channels we bonded over them. He is gone today. Your channel helps my depression and his. All my KZbin family does. I've wanted to inspire others; but I find myself again and again needing inspiration. I'm a strong woman I'm told, I'm funny and I am an inspiration they say. I wanted my brothers ride or die to stay with me and his ex wife got him. She separated brothers "Buddy from is his younger brother Patch of same parents dogs. But as a mother, this woman separated them dogs nearly killed Patch he wouldn't eat, dogs get depressed also folks and my brothers health wasn't well these furby's were his children. Today Patch has been reunited with his brother Buddy living with his ex wife. I'm sure my brother isn't happy. I chose to let go and to think they to will play together and die together. The end. Thank you KZbin, thank you Amanda and fellow KZbin folks that watch, create and make this possible today. Love to all Miss Cilla Bee 🐝 may we all feel better soon. Grieving isn't easy; I'm 60 this year and my story hasn't been completely told.

It is so, SO good to see you’re up and about. It is also excellent that you have some flexibility re: your job. I am single and also have chronic health concerns. I go through periods of angst over the what ifs, but realize I can’t let the what ifs limit or restrict my living. You inspire me, as you tackle challenges and express such joy in the everyday madness of life. Thank you for your vulnerability. I’ll be lifting prayers for health and wellness on your behalf. All the very best, Amanda. (I have failing hearing, so I routinely must really focus on conversations. It is exhausting! So, thank you for not including music in videos, unless you want to include such in the non-speaking/non-nature sounds bits.)

I love that you don’t play music like other KZbinr’s. Hearing the real sounds in the background is soooo much better. ❤️

God works in mysterious ways. Maybe not a coincidence that you were at your parents when you became so ill. Glad you are on the mend. Nice to see nurse Frank attached to your hip. He looks worried. Hopefully you will be feeling well again soon and out on your next adventure.
