Your channel popped up in my feed so I gave it look. Good stuff and I can vouch for what you have to share. I'm 69 and did a 3 day, 300 mile ride in Michigan at the age of 61. I've biked all my life and have done a lot of running, too, including a 1/2 dozen marathons starting at age 57. Still going strong. Diet and consistent exercise are the key. Keep pushing the message.

"Longevity of motion". Scott, first, Happy Birthday. Second, appreciate the look at training from a broader perspective than just the mechanics of riding a bike. I'm 68, retired 6 weeks ago and looking to spin into my 90s. I understand that's more than just a physical commitment. Thanks for showing us the way.

I’m very motivated to ride longer. I rode as a kid but stopped once my friends started driving. I missed out on decades of fun and adventure. Now that I rediscovered the bike I am determined to get those decades of rides in.

I’m 54 in 12 days! Happy Birthday! I just started training in August. I’ve been a part time cyclist, maybe 100 miles a year. Lame, but that’s what kids do to you. I signed up for a metric century next year. Just did 50k today and I’m bouncing around like a kid afterwards. Love the videos and the Highlander reference.

My father sold my childhood bicycle because he was a selfish man. He didn't even pay for it! I loved that bike and maintained it before I was a teenager. I'm finally a cyclist again in my 30's. When I think back, I probably would have never stopped under different circumstances.

I’m 60 started riding seriously at 50. I love how I feel and I ride moderately 1200-1500 miles a year. I ride typically 25-30 miles a ride. I’ll keep riding until I can’t. 2025 Madone SL6 Gen 8. 50cm

59 year old esophagus cancer survivor here; started cycling 3 years ago and fell in love with it. It's giving me so much energy and helps me with the aftermath of the disease. This year my goal was to get to 12k km's,..and I will go beyond that.

Useful info and as a Chron’s sufferer, interested in whether cold showers can help with inflammation. Will give it a go. Thank you 🙏 Also, did you used to be Wood, the Quidditch captain from the first few Harry Potter films? 🧙 😂

What's too much? I'm your age as well, and I cycle about 1000km a month between my commute and weekly century rides. My joints are certainty feeling it, though my heart wants to keep going.

57 just retired last yr. thought I would be riding more, ended up riding less. over 100k rides don't appeal to me anymore. also a bigger guy.

Enjoyed your video, up to a point. That point was pretty soon in the video and again at the end. You mentioned language. You sound Scottish. You’re not a youngster. You have no excuse. The use of asshole was THE POINT. American english language. You’re Scottish. Sorry for being an arse hole. 😅
