Yes, I do as much as possible to look and feel my best...diet, excersize, skincare and makeup...but rather than “anti aging” I am trying to focus on aging as healthfully, gracefully and most importantly as Gratefully as possible. You are beautiful and a true inspiration 🙏💕😘❤️

It is truly refreshing when a woman builds up other women rather than tear them down which seems to be the social norm the older we are. Our life’s journey shows up on our bodies. Means we lived to tell the story. You all are lovely and loved💕

Susan, what a very thoughtful introspection in your comment today. You are so right. I have found in my life when I interviewed celebrities that the bigger the celebrities usually the more humble they were. It was those that were wannabes that were demanding and not so nice. we all have to lift one another up and not tear each other down.❤️

I am 52 and I can honestly say, this is the best part of my life! I'm 10 years away from retirement, my kids are grown and doing well. I was a single mother with two children 13 months apart, and I also worked two jobs just to put food on the table and clothes on our backs. Those years were so stressful and I look back and have no idea how we made it through. I had no child support whatsoever. Now, I can finally breathe and have all the time for myself! Plus grandkids are the best! I can spend the time with them, that I didn't have with my own children being in survival mode. I have wrinkles, grey hairs but I feel I earned them and wear them proudly!! I hope I look half as good as you when I'm your age!!! Love your channel!!!💜

Mary Ann, German shepherds are one of the most loyal breeds ever. I got a German Shepherd puppy when I was about nine or 10 years old and she was my best friend, protector and so loyal to me. She lived until I was a little over 23 years old. Even when I went to college she waited for me to come home every summer and was still as loyal as she was from the first day I got her. Belladonna will always be there for you. ❤️

You're so right about advertising, especially when they use 20 somethings for anti-aging products:\
@lifewithsandrahart4 жыл бұрын
I agree that advertising has a lot to do with it. The beauty companies couldn’t sell their products if they didn’t put fear into us about wrinkles and aging and sagging and that we will be less than desirable unless we use their products to keep ourselves physically looking young. It’s all a manufactured hype. We have all bought into it and here we are trying to stop the natural aging process because we are undesirable and unworthy unless we do. ❤️

Wise words, Sandra. I have spent far too much of my life with my head in the past or the future. I am gradually learning to live in the moment and how much better life is when I do that - it’s all we have, after all. I am also learning to hand things over to God and I notice how much more relaxed I am when I do this. I think this will help me to improve my health too as trying to be in control causes so much stress and anxiety, neither of which is healthy if habitual. Thank you for your thoughts and you look vibrant, as ever.

Dear Sandra: Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I'm so very tired of the term, "anti-aging", and, I completely agree with you. The beauty industry is to blame, as if aging were some horrific disease to be avoided at all costs. The issue is also with our society at large..I'm 70, but, I feel very young on the inside. However, we do become "invisible", because men no longer notice us, younger people don't want to hear our words of wisdom, and, we are treated like pieces of furniture. Despite that, your advice is well taken. I will try to remember this going forward. You are as wise as you are elegant and beautiful. Wishing you blessings; stay safe and well. And it sucks, not gonna lie, It's like I went to sleep and woke up one day they and noticed things that were never there before, certain wrinkles and a few gray hairs, seemingly overnight they appeared and it really freaked me out lol But the fact that I'm still here to get the wrinkles is amazing to remind myself! I just discovered you by accident while searching for 60s TV makeup references (for Halloween). I’m 22, and I think the only thing that frightens me about aging are the health problems I might inherit from my mom. The women on her side of the family tend to die young, and my mom herself passed away nearly 3 years ago, aged 56. She and I were extremely close and the loss was sudden and quite traumatic for me; I’m still grappling with it. I just wanted to comment and say that you seem like such a wonderful woman, and you really remind me of her. You’re just as beautiful, wise, and well spoken as she was. I could practically hear her going “That’s right!!” throughout the entire video. I got a little emotional, but it was very cathartic, so thank you. I really needed to hear #2. Sending you a big virtual hug. You’re doing great work uplifting women on this channel and I salute you for it. ❤️❤️❤️

A very kind hello and a great big welcome to you. Genetics play a very important part on how we live our lives and age. But we can change that dynamic. My mother, grandfather and all of my aunts all had type 2 diabetes when they were in their 60s. My aunt died in a diabetic coma. I am sure that I probably have inherited that gene , so I am very careful about my sugar intake. All of my cousins and aunts are overweight, too. My mother was slender so I think I inherited her genetics, but I am always aware of what perhaps I have inherited genetically. Try to investigate the causes of the early deaths by the females in your family and make sure that you’re taking advanced steps to protect yourself against those illnesses. You can reverse the course of your own destiny by being pro active. You are so young you still have many chapters and many wonderful adventures ahead of you. Thank you ever so much for stopping by today and I hope I will see you again soon. Your mother sounds as though she was such a lovely woman.❤️

So here I am, now 77 and still wanting to be around those who have different perspectives and experiences they can share with me, many lessons learned and yet to be learned. I realize even more that I too need to share, to contribute. And, guess what... When I'm contributing and focused on others, it's impossible to be invisible. Another big WIN/WIN! I'm thankful for you and those who comment. You shine light on my path. Again, thank you!

You know what I find so wonderful about watching your videos? They are real. You are not reading from a teleprompter, not speaking to us from a memorized script. I realize you have much experience with a video camera, and talking to that camera instead of a "real" person is now second nature to you. But you make it so very obvious that you are speaking to us as you would a friend you are sitting with, over a cup of tea or glass of wine. You take great pains to examine each thought that you wish to share with us, your friends, in the moment, not last night when you were practicing your "speech" to us. Each and every video, you are speaking from the heart. Your name could not be more prophetic.

Dian, I cannot thank you again for this warm and wonderful comment that you have shared today. From the bottom of my heart I am very grateful that you and each and every one of my subscribers come to me each week and join in on the conversation. But I have to say is not scripted as you said and I feel that when I’m speaking I’m speaking to you across the table perhaps with a cup of coffee or tea and just sharing as I would share with my close friends. thank you so very much for that wonderful affirmation and enjoying conversations that we have every week.❤️

I could not wait to retire not because I hated my job I just couldn’t stand the prejudices of Ageism in the work force. You become invisible and your opinion doesn’t matter. I retired at 64 and now I am 69. Even though I sometimes miss the social aspect getting dress and having someplace to go it was time to leave. I also had to give up a friendship with a friend because she was so obsessed with staying young and criticized other women on their looks. Would I love to be young again sure, but that ship has sail, and I am more at peace with myself not feeling the pressure of feeling bad because I am “old”. I have learn to accept and love myself and be the best I can be and like the old poem “grow old with me the best is yet to be” . Sandra you are beautiful 🌺

I developed some autoimmune disorder symptoms after I had a tubal ligation using titanium clips. I’ve had them for years now and have figured out natural methods to lessen the symptoms, and am getting them removed at some point, hopefully. The tubal ligation didn’t even prevent my third pregnancy (for which I am blessed). I’m so happy you feel better now. You’re blessed.
@lifewithsandrahart3 жыл бұрын
Leah, I do hope you’ll be able to have those titanium clips removed sometime in the future. Autoimmune illnesses seem to be so prevalent today. I had PMR which is one illness that goes away as fast as it comes and my daughter has an autoimmune condition also. As you said, I’m so fortunate that it went away. I have always believed that when possible natural is the best.❤️

I found your videos and I just love all of your advice. Your so right about moving too fast thru life. I have slowed down and appreciate everyday that I have. My mom is 80 and I love spending time with her. I enjoyed watching the video with you and your husband...y’all make such a cute couple and I pray that I’m that jovial and wise if I live to be 94. My faith is very important to me as well. I’m a believer in Jesus Christ and take in doctrine everyday as there are a lot of good pastors on KZbin and that really helps me and brings me comfort. I’ll be looking forward to watching all of your videos.love Kim from Arkansas 💕

By another outstanding woman... Oprah.. Sure we live in a society which tells us if we are not young and glowing and hot we don't matter... I refuse to buy in to such distorted view of reality....to do so is to contribute to a sickness pervading our society. The sickness of wanting to be what you are not. Only by owning who and what you truly are can you step into the fullness of life. I feel sorry for anyone who buys into the myth that you can be who you once were. You are not the women you were 10 years ago, if your lucky you are not the woman you were a year ago. The whole point of aging is change. Stake a claim to the here and now. Our experiences can keep teaching us about ourselves if you let them. Oprah

Inspiring video and I am so glad you were able to overcome your disease. We also have to keep in mind people, like my sister, who could over come her MS and had her life shortened. She passed away at age 58 after years of struggle. She had a great attitude and the grace to handle what had happened to her. Everyday I am thankful that I reached the age of 71 and always remember there are many people who do not have that option. I try to live my life to fullest, remembering that Phyllis didn’t get that opportunity.

Carrie, I am so sorry to hear about your sister, her suffering and your great loss. I know sometimes when we see our loved one suffer it is hard on us because we would like to take away their pain and their affliction. Unfortunately, it’s beyond our power to understand why this happens to either us or to others that we love. The best thing I have found that I’m trying to do is while I’m still here to make my life matter even in some very small way. I am sure you are doing the same in the memory of your sister, Phyllis.❤️

And I just, had no clue how to conceptualize my life at large! Apart from my classmates, siblings, and parents, I knew personally no one at all! Living for the future, as you said, something I so often do mentally. But you are so right! It would be great if I could live Here Now. And it is ultimately just each day of living! And if I live it all, there’s few or no regrets at the end… (all as you said ❤️) Thank you so much! This video will NOT be forgotten! And I will watch it more times yet in coming days I am sure… 🙂❤️I will be subscribing and learning and enjoying so much more from your presence knowledge and beautiful words. 🙏🏼 Thank you for doing what you do ❤️❤️

Hi Sandra itis always a pleasure listening to you. Well ... I present myself..I am nearly 70 and my name is Lore. I think that the wisdom about life is a very rare thing to find in youth: I assumed that from one side of the coin it is a good thing. When you are young you think that life is something normal and you have a lot of time in front of you and very rarely we think about the shortness of it. FOrtunally!!!. . Anyway: what I want to say is that I agree with all you are saying but only when we arrive at a certain point of our life (each of us has its moment), things are changing and we think more and we feel that we need of something more, different. It is we look inside us with more attention. The most important thing in aging ,is be always interested in something...the curiosity is the pillar of living and to be happy : know new things, new people, different points of views .Sadly when you are ill and you have inside a lot of grief, remorses, anger and regrets ,all that we are speaking about ,is very difficult to exceed and think that there is a possibility to change. Many people are stalled because it is impossible for them to overcome.The path is difficult ....I am happy you have done it.

That was a very heartfelt message. My Aunt has that very same autoimmune disease and is on the prednisone. It is horrible! She has been through everything you described and is in her 80s now. I am so glad that you are now pain free. Keep sharing your personal experiences because I know it helps a lot of people. My mom missed telling her best friend how much their friendship meant to her since she was a child. She died in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s. I didn’t know why she never went until I realized my mom had it too and is now in a nursing home herself. Sometimes we have circumstances that prevent us from doing what we would like to do because we are so focused on what we have to do and we can’t feel guilty about that. I think God understands.

Oh I’m so happy to hear that. As I said before I’m not always sure what I have to say will mean anything to anyone. But this aging for women in this country is so messed up.
