Monica, there are plenty of good people in this world. I have been left too more times than I care to remember. But we cannot hate the person. Gravitate to good people and have a quick assessment on whether they have good character or "a bad apple".

I am 58, and I am now starting to learn all the points you have mentioned. I can not stress to those who are young, please please....do not let people tell you what to do with your life, listen to your gut instinct and think twice before making decisions (especially life changing ones) and live your own life, without envying someone else's. I am now having to learn painfully the hard way. I would also like to add is to set boundaries on what or what you will tolerate from others to never mistreat you. Things I wish I knew when I was younger.

Thank you so much for the wonderful advice. Decades ago, I used to be a people pleaser and wants everybody to be happy. Even on time when I don’t have something to give, I’ll make a way just to help them, sometimes I barrow money just to give it to them when they ask me and they need it and I don’t know why I can’t say no. Until one day I woke up where in my problems were bigger than I am, maybe that is what I attracted in my life for being a people pleaser in more than decade. Now I realized I need to think and love myself first, because no matter how good you think you are to other people, it will never be enough for them.

Love this because its like you were speaking to me with regards to "worry" and learning from past. I needed to hear it and you said it so clear. I just turned 70 last month, single now for over 27 years and I've been afraid of just about everything including romantic relationships. Living alone is has been difficult and theres the financial hardship, especially over the past few years. I was worried if I had a significant other they would take advantage of my people pleasing weakness and try to control my life so I just remain single for so long I don't know if I could do things differently now. I still attract interest from men who seem nice but I still don't know much about recognizing a good partner. You triggered a question within me, "What did I learn?"❣💞

Karen, Thanks so much for coming over! I love your KZbin name! I definitely will subscribe. Nathalie is the best. When I started out 5 years ago she was already a seasoned creator. She gave me a shoutout early on and since then we have become good friends ( although she is a year older then my oldest daughter). I only wish her all good things in her life. I do hope this new direction she is going with her channel will give her the exposure she so deserves. She has so much to share. Best of luck to you and I hope you will decide to be a part of our wonderful community of caring women here from over 64 countries. We all want to live a life of purpose. Thanks again. Sandra

“Don’t chase after someone else’s life.” That is a very good way to express an anti-jealousy message. Jealous people really want to live your life even if you can’t understand why.
