Dear, Sandra. I live on another continent. I'm over 60, and I am still working. I have a hobby. I'm trying to learn English. It helps me keep my mind, and learn new things. Once upon a time, I accidentally got into your channel. I began to listen to you with interest. You're helping me to learn English. Your advice, Sandra, is always correct and useful. I'm learning new words and phrases. For me, your videos are both life lessons and English lessons. I wish you health and longevity.

Brilliant uplifting commentary. I am most impressed with the integrity in your messages; nothing to argue over, no politics, no bias. Those of us who have the means and ability to watch a video with a roof over your head and food in the pantry can feel good about these gifts and I believe gratitude is one of the highest expressions we can hold and resonate with. I have been deeply disturbed by the hurricane and all the stories and ongoing dramas and suffering....., if viewers are willing and able.....please donate something to help. 17:29 Hey, cast no shade on Pollyanna. That story left such a lasting impression on me. I try to live my life with the thankful attitude taught to Pollyana by her mother. Just turn your head a fraction of an inch and witness people hurting with life situations so much more dire and painful than mine. As Pollyanna said, there is always something to be happy about. Find a glimmer of something positive and share it with those around you. I suppose it's my "unoffical" way of reminding those around me to be brave, be strong and see there are peole around me with llves and families in life situations so much worse than mine. I try to hold onto that thought when my 35 year old som dropped dead while running while trying to improve his time for an upcoming marathon. It was an undiagnosed heart condition we knew nothing about. I'm not going to lie and say it"s been easy to come to grips with the unfairness of it all. Over time, I"ve begun to see how blessed I was to have had my boy ....... my life's delight..... for the time I was blessed with him. I've slowly begun to thank God for the time I was given with him. I now attempt to emulate the positive habits and actions my son exhibited in manerveriing the world around him. You have to be intellectually curious, and be convinced that you can be the old dog that is capable of learning new tricks, I still feel the unfairness of losing a treasure that had his whole life in front of him. I realize I'm never going to receive the answer that will provide the peace I'm seeking. I'll soon be 71 and feel like I am just hitting my stride. Maybe it's taken me a little longer to perfect some skills; but darnnit every day I learn a snippet about myself and am determined to lose the things that have held me back. I'm going to need the next 20+ years to learn about it and move forward with a new batch of tools in my toolbox. Embrace the mind set that life and people are a trip. I don't want to miss one second of i!

Hi Sandra, I can see from some of the comments posted so far that for some, depending on their own circumstances, it is hard to find those ways for connection, activity, and purpose. I see this happening with some of my women family and friends too ( we are in our 60s and 70s.) Health issues, emotional issues, unresolved grievances -😂. This is why I love hearing you say look for the simple and achievable moments of pleasure like that first cup of coffee or tea, the comfort of a pet, a song…At 73 I’m teaching myself to sing in Portuguese because I have always wanted to since hearing Brasil 66. ❤ and I like it😊

They love to isolate us, but I fight daily against them with prayer, positivity and a deep unconditional love for others. Also, unforgiveness is deadly, so I always forgive my enemies, knowing that the real enemies are spirit powers of darkness. I have a similar moment with my kitty in the mornings. Hi, Sandra... Thank you for your weekly doses of encouragement! We all look forward to them. I'm not a Morning Person, so it takes extra effort to start my day off well. I've found that, for me, making a plan the night before, which includes what I'm going to wear, gives me something to look forward to. (Even if I choose to have a Jammie Home Alone Day.) I love to be by myself and I love to be with other people, so I make sure I vary my daily activities. I think this is a true statement... "All living things move." That's a clue. Whether our life is long or short, the important thing is that it's well lived. We grow old by sitting around waiting for something to happen, rather than getting up (physically or figuratively) and making something happen. We'll be a gift to others, when we do this, and our attitude and theirs will be great. Love you, Sandra! And, I love your new wall color.
