It was called “She’s Too Young.” I’m not sure if this movie actually had the “sex bracelets” though, I think it got that plot confused with a storyline from Degrassi since the actress who plays Emma on Degrassi (Miriam McDonald) was ALSO in this film and ironically both characters ended up getting syphilis because they were hooking up with older guys. 🤦‍♀️

This is my favourite of the SNL "American Dream subversion" sketches. From the meticulously pleasant and clean-cut set with cream curtains and pink floral wallpaper to the confused anxiety in the eyes of the leave-raking contestants as they struggle to make sense of their role. Surely someone with THREE Jos in their name couldn't possibly live anything other than a picture-perfect suburban life? Even the way the host impatiently dismisses the viewers at the end with a curt wave and "bye" as he turns back to prey on Mary-Jo Beth JoJo after she's just realised she is the prize. It's surreal and darkly hilarious- and imho SNL at their best.
