Great video, thanks for demonstrating water proofing the holes you drilled. I too plan to use a float cushion rather than a stadium seat - multi purpose and an added safety devise. I also saw a suggestion a float can help hoist your body up on the boat after a flip (push down on it's strap with your foot) your video made my decision. Thanks again.

Great video. Love to see how others are modding their Tamaracks. I did my crate like yours and had some bungee netting I zip tied over the top of the top. Put my plastics in there in the bags they came in. Works great!

easy fix to your seat problem is to look into a stadium seat I picked one up for my yak and it was the best addition I added to mine

Try attaching your soft plastics to the underside of your milk crate “hatch door”. Won’t interfere with your planos that way.

If you add a short section of milkcrate to the bottom of your big crate it will sit level over rear hatch lid
@jackinthewoodsii86532 жыл бұрын
I could never understand the milk crate mod. Soft packs, dry bags and backpacks are easily stored under the bungies and will conform to the shape of the kayak. If you need a variety of lures a vest with many pockets allows easy access.

I just bought one and noticed you have a your adjustable rod holder at different angles. How can u do that? Mine doesnt swivel. It just points 1 way across my kayak width ways or if I flip it, then the opposite but not at angles like urs. Help please
@MissionForFishing4 жыл бұрын
There's a small screw that you can loosen and adjust the pitch of the rod holder. As far as the rotation outwards goes you lift halfway up and turn the mount in its built in holder and then push the rod holder back down to lock it in place. It took me a little bit for me to figure it out and it takes a little bit of finesse.
@HeMi-LuST10124 жыл бұрын
@@MissionForFishing thanks for the help, but like mine has only one way I can put the rod holder into the built in hole. It has a notch that the rode holder has to line up with just to lock into place. But it looked like you had yours turned at different angles like yours has more then 1 notch? Or how about, can you rotate your rod holder in any direction you want or can you only have your rod turned 2 ways only?

Good upgrades . Instead of using the screws get kayak rivets and silicone, instead of the pad use a stadium seat
@dlsgl4073 жыл бұрын
Why use rivets vs screws - just wondering, planning some work on a boat that is on its way
@johnguth537623 күн бұрын
Why use zip ties when with a little more time involved you can use ca cabinet or piano hinges!
@MissionForFishing22 күн бұрын
Yeah, that would probably work pretty well with some rivets.

These are the EXACT pliers I have and It looks like there are a few left and shipping is available. I like them a lot and have had good luck with them but I'd recommend just like with every tool that gets wet to oil the hinge or it will rust in a few years. (flashlight is a nice added bonus too) www.menards.com/main/tools/hand-tools/pliers-plier-sets/guidesman-fishing-pliers-and-flashlight-combo/2433090/p-1444436619918.htm
