2024 Life Time The Rad Dirt Fest | RACE HIGHLIGHTS

Watch the extended highlights of the 2024 Life Time The Rad Dirt Fest, stop #5 of the Life Time Grand Prix presented by Mazda. Set in the rugged and stunning landscapes of Trinidad, Colorado, this scenic gravel race challenges athletes with grueling climbs, technical two track sections, and fast paced descents. Returning champions Alexey Vermeulen and Lauren De Crescenzo seek to defend their titles while LTGP leaders Keegan Swenson, Sofia Gomez Villafañe are on a quest to lock up the overall. Other race favorites like Pete Stetina, Griffin Easter, Cecily Decker, and Alexis Skarda will also challenge for the coveted RAD guitar that goes home with the winner. Alongside them, over a thousand amateur riders take on the 110, 70, and 40-mile courses, pushing their limits in one of the most unique and funky events of the season.

My favorite shots in these videos are always when the pros lap the amateurs and you get some sense of how fast they’re really going. Like at the end there with Lauren just flying up that hill that hill past people who need to walk it.

Absolutely love the quality of these highlight videos. However, the fact that Keegan and Sofia had the LTGP essentially locked up again after only a few races made me loose interest in the series overall. Not sure if this is how a lot of people feel like but its similar to watching Pogacar ride the Giro. Its just less fun. After Unbound I was a bit hyped seeing Keegan have a wobble, with Payson and Lachlan doing so well, but if this dynamic doesn't change in the next years, I think it will be to the detriment of the development in popularity of the LTGP series overall.
