Yes, just like cars and anything else that is financed.
Sheds are typically on rent-to-own terms and if they fail to make their rental payments we pick them up.
My wish is not for anyone to get anything repossessed but rather for everyone to make great decisions and prosper.
I understand people fall on hard times and that sucks but it all comes down to responsibly, if you can't pay you can always voluntarily return it.

The shed renters who play games and obstruct recovery of the buildings need to taught a valuable lesson. I have a lot of long line helicopter flight experience and it would be so fun to fly a shed out of someone's property who is playing games and refusing access to the building. A spreader bar setup for lifting big heat exchangers on to the roof of buildings would be perfect for sheds. I would love to see the look on the face if the person as the shed is flown off of their property.

Are you glad to be out of this type of work? seems like this was a long long day and some disappointing. Could be some of the people moved the sheds to another property in order to prevent them from being reclaimed by the rental company. You and your wife were always professional on these jobs, and some I would consider dangerous due to the type of people you encounter.

Trucks drivers aren't making any money now since biden ruined the economy. That semi in that yard is probably used for parts. I know all this because my husband owns his own truck and we are struggling with fuel, freight rates and maintenance. We are barely making it.

@@TheBeer4me As a workshop or tiny house the cost is pretty reasonable since the big work is doen on either project and they are ready to add on the finishing touches. There's a guy who does videos on here and $15,000 seems to be the higher end.

They're extremely expensive if you RTO them. Usually more than 2x what they're actually worth, and I've seen some approaching 3x. The monthly payments aren't that high, if that's what you mean. But yeah, the total cost if not paid in cash up front is terrible.

We’re looking into a shed to turn into a cabin but I hear so much about them being repossessed and it scares me. Obviously if you don’t pay they’ll be taken but what causes people to go so far as to get their shed repossessed. Idk if I’m explaining myself. There's no deed, if that's what you mean. You should get a 'paid in full' or 'balance $0' or whatever. That and your contract are your proof of purchase.

@@cm5838 Yeah, that would be some drama, and not a nice situation at all, so hopefully that never happens. I've purchased a couple, but paid cash and keep the receipts with the serial numbers in my safe. (Not sure all of them have serial numbers, but the Graceland ones I've owned all do) Never had anything like that come up, and wouldn't expect it if you pay your bills on time. Ironically, the two I most recently purchased were both repo units. Sometimes you can get a pretty good deal that way. 😁

@@cdub I think this company is called outback buildings, not the best quality but workable. We are thinking about getting a 16x42 and turning it into a small house, but it will be set on an engineered basement foundation with tie downs. They had a repo one that they were asking 10k for but found out there was fentanyl in it so it was destroyed instead. I’d build it myself except with Arkansas weather it’s easier to place an already dried in building then finish it out.
