Glutinous Coconut Mung Bean ( Num Popeay )
It is my favourite! I don’t remember the last time I ate it. I don’t even know the name for it when I ate it when I was younger. 😊 now I know how to make it! Try it you may like it. Khmer Desert. 💕
✨ Ingredients and Recipes
▪️ Shredded Coconut ( can used fresh or dry unsweetened )
✔️Topping
▪️ White Sesame Seeds - 1 Tbsp
▪️ Black Sesame Seeds - 1/2 Tsp ( optional )
▪️ Sugar - 1 Tbsp
✔️ Fillings
▪️ Peeled Split Mung Bean - 1 Cups
▪️ Sugar - 4 Tbsp ( can use palm sugar to substitute)
▪️ Salt - 1/4 Tsp
▪️ Coconut Milk - 1/2 Cup
✨please watch video instructions on how to cook the Mung Beans and when to add ingredients
✔️ Outside Part ( mix another set if you want to finish the mung bean filling )
▪️ Glutinous Flour - 2 Cups
▪️ Sugar - 1 Tbsp
▪️ Coconut Milk - 1 Cup and 2 Tbsp
✨ Can use water if like just add 1 cup first to try how soft it is. You may not need the 2 Tbsp of extra water like the coconut milk.
