I absolutely agree with you about buying the Condo or House. I am Thai single man. You will feel worried about your belongings. Do not buy any car or motorcycle. The BTS and MRT will extend more distance in five years. This year the new yellow and pink line will launch the service.

Yes, you are very much correct about the extension of MRT and BTS. I don’t think I’ll be buying my own car or motorbike here in Bangkok.

The hospitals here are so great, nongovernment. I had a gallbladder attack in America and I was writhing in pain and after 3 hours they gave me one ibuprofen and charged me $600. In Khon Kaen, I had a gallbladder attack, went to Bangkok Hospital and a beautiful woman told me how sorry she was I was in pain, pet my head, gave me morphine and I was both in love and out of pain in 2 minutes. That was actually the day I decided I'd rather live in Thailand than die in America.

Can't wait to get a few things in place before the big move. Agree with you about being more calm when in Thailand due to the culture, l now longer care about possessions and just live a minimal life.

Hi my friend, as a Thai who doing about building here I have to say the biggest problem about the footpaths and many roads in Bangkok it's because of those countless skyscrapers my friend and also those countless sky train poles because when you build the building you have to Piling the stakes in to the soils until you reach the Hard and Impact soil to make sure that your building or Skytrain poles or bridges or malls or big houses will not move from the original spot BUT the thing is Bangkok soil collapse every year about 5++ centimeters per year, now you understand what I'm trying to explain right? The building will stay without collapsed because already piled the stakes in to the soil and also the Skytrains, Toll ways and highways above the ground will never effect to those collapsed problems BUT the roads and footpaths all over Bangkok of course have to be collapse and that's why it's always have those problems because the lands are trying to be seperate from each other. In some roads like Viphavadee Rd going to Donmuang you could easily see that the Road at the right lane having this problem too along the very long Viphavadee Rd it's because of the very long second level Toll way above the Viphavadee Rd I really wonder how they solve this problem because now they just keeping to fix the road and this Viphavadee Rd is very old so the different level of the soil could obviously see.
@LifewithSerg Жыл бұрын
Yes I know Bangkok is slowly sinking. But the overall design of the roads is horrible. It’s not poor construction, it’s poor design.

@@LifewithSerg 555 that problem I have to say you'll never understand the Thai Serg even me as a Thai and I never understand most Thai people too, they're very unique race that only love to have fun even when they have to be serious and most of them just love the things that make no sense. Lol Probably just like we Thai always joking to each others that Our Thai brain were already distorted or even destroyed because of something or probably since birth because if you live here in Bangkok you'd know that we Thai are always love to do the things that very different from the people from all over the world. Lol or someone believed that it's because of the country of Thailand here that you lived that made your mindset just crazy like that because it's really funny that a lot of foreigners that moved to live here long term a lot of them were changing themself and be like the Thai too. @LifewithSerg Жыл бұрын
Bangkok is pretty easy to get around with if you speak English. Once you get onto smaller towns, you’ll find very few English speakers. All the large tourist cities in this country will have plenty of English speakers. However, if you plan to move here, as with any country, I would encourage you to learn the local language and customs.

Oh yes, Khao Soi is so good! I think it's mostly a northern dish but they have a few places that sell it here and it's so great. Larb Moo is another of my favorites too. I think renting a motorbike for a month and trying it out is so smart. Dude, it's 8 hours from Bangkok to Chiang Mai? I thought that was wrong because I am way further north (you are 5-hours south of me) but you know what.... it's faster for you to go to Chiang Mai than us because of the road. That is wild! I had no idea. Good call never buying here. I have had crappy neighbors that play the stereo until 4am, construction factories pop up, currently a college that has weekday concerts until 3am. Being able to move has saved my sanity.
@LifewithSerg Жыл бұрын
It’s actually five hours or maybe six hours. Not eight. My mistake. But even when my friend left me his motorbike for a month I didn’t use it much in the city. I mainly use it for motorbike trips, but I’m going to go and rent a bike again for the month just to see how much use I get out of it
@TheThaiLife Жыл бұрын
@@LifewithSerg That is amazing. You could beat me to Chiang mai if we both left at the same time by several hours. Crazy if you look on the map and see how much closer it looks like I am :)
