Thank you for sharing. I am a gay man who was raised in the church, have not lost my testimony but often feels at a dead end with this conflict that has always been with me. This has shed an honest light on perhaps another option for me. I love you, thank you.

Im 34, and always knew I was “different”. Many years of depression and self hate. But God showed me His love and now I’m free. We’re all broken. There’s nothing wrong with being single. I hope you’re not fooling yourselves

We need more stories like this. Too often the media paints a picture of a "once gay, always gay" situation and it leads to a misunderstanding about what same sex attraction is. It's a temptation, not an absolute.

It is a blessing to help and pray for people struggling with same sex attraction. #GodHasABetterWay

This faithful and strong man is going to be blessed for his desire to follow God and His commandments. Although he does have same sex attraction, he continues to follow God and the Spirits prompting. Even if he will have to go through this his whole life and may never be fully content or find happiness in this life. He will be blessed in the next life. ❤ Bless this man for his strong faith and love of Christ. What an example to all. As a member of the church I love this man and respect him ❤

My brother, it's possible to get that first love for your spouse back, remember that first love and ask God to take you back there and the grace to walk in that calling

Like any other sin, it’s part of humanity’s fallen nature, which doesn’t go away the moment you believe. But there are eternal rewards that God will bestow upon those who strive

We cannot do this by ourselves. Only by God's grace we can overcome this struggle. We can stumble and fall, but trust in the promise of the Lord. Align your will with God. Great is His faithfulness.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I have a question though. How do you hear the spirit of God if you feel that you’re deep in your carnal mind to follow your emotions, especially attractions towards your same gender?

well said what I have been trying to explain to others but said so much better than me.

This path of faith is to DENY ourselves and follow Christ. Is a decision to follow Christ by obeying him. Not satisfying our sinful desires. (Temptations) The work of the Holy Spirit will dwell and help us overcome sinful desires. JesusChrist is enough to satisfy and help us, as our eternal Savior and King. As christian’s we will face until death., the struggling on temptation through drugs, addiction, lying, idolatry, witchcraft, discord, hatred, envy jealousy, gossip, evil desires, impurity, sexual immorality, fornication, adultery (same sex attraction or heterosexual), and much more Galatians 5:19-22

if we limit marriage to a mere moral standard we are really despising the true lovingly relationship The Lord is inviting us to have WITH HIM through the Gospel. The goal is not to have a moral life, is to know and be found in Jesus!!
@anacartaya1029 Жыл бұрын
we need to recognize our sinful desires for what they are, if we just focus on what "God requires" (if we are true believers) we could end up in bitterness and very frustrated. But if we recognize pur sinful patterns and desires for what they are (lies) and who Jesus is (true) things are going to be very different!
@anacartaya1029 Жыл бұрын
feelings can be real, that doesn't mean they are true in the sense that they are not a damage on our perception because of sin. If our emotions are already damaged either we have SSA or not, we should be clear about our deceitful feelings and those produced or aligned with the Holy Spirt in constant communion with the Lord. "the heart is deceitful above all things" what should be natural for us, as God intended to be, is not natural anymore because our fallen nature. We can turn around deceitful feelings rather for SSA or covetousness, jealousy, etc and turn around to JESUS, in prayer and beholing His glory and beauty in Scripture

It's obvious that if you have enough faith and engage in ardent, continuous contrition and prayer, you will be able not to live a gay lifestyle and to live a straight one instead.
