👁 About this video : In today's video I get the chance to drive a lifted Jeep Wrangler before I decide on which lift I want to put on my own! So I went down to Innovative Speed Shop and Neal let me check out his newly lifted Wrangler! He decided to go with a 3.5' Rough Country lift with upgraded springs and 35' tires! I was on the fence about the height I wanted to get, but after checking this out, I think 3.5's is the way to go and possibly go with an even larger tire now that I've seen his! It's pretty cool as well that we have the same color so I can really visualize what it'll look like. As far as driving the lifted Wrangler, it felt normal to me, very similar to my tacoma with the "Stiffness" feeling, but it's what I am looking for and I like the fact that it's an affordable lift and still offers great components, it's a well put together kit. The only thing it's lacking that I want, is to be able to disconnect the front sway bar, so I can either buy that with a kit or install later. It's crazy to see how much higher the truck is and the amount of clearance it has so going off-road will not be a problem compared to the stock height which I've already tested! Is this the best kit I can go with, let me know your thoughts!!

I have the same 3 1/2 in lift with the upgraded shocks on 35’s. No complaints. Great lift for under $1000 which allows you to still have money for other mods like wheels, tires, bumpers etc.

I thumbs up your video because you had a non-Rubicon Jeep mainly. Nothing against Rubicon owners that paid the extra premium, but it sure is near impossible to find a Jeep Wrangler video that is not on an accessorized Rubicon. Like Neal, I also have a 4-door, firecracker Red, 2020 (mine anyway) Wrangler. Have had lifts from quite a few manufactureres as I have owned eight Wranglers over the years (AEV, Rancho--do not recommend, BDS, Zone, Skyjacker, and yes Rough Country--a JK I owned). It comes down to personal preference and how you use the Jeep (the totality of the same). They all, the lift, will settle with time and additional parts. That having been said great video and thanks for sharing.

That's RC over time will begin to sag and probably go to about a 2 to 2.5 lift. That's were you pay a premium with the more popular higher end lifts. If you think that ride was nice check out a metalcloak or rk lifted jeep

When we ran jeep shop RC was not allowed in the shop. There are lots of better inexpensive options. Especially if you're going to offroad. Try to get a lift with adjustable control arms and track bars to correct the geometry. Neal's jeep looks good though!

@@BrosFOURRSpeed they have good warranty and good customer service. But I've seen their parts fail quite a bit. Just all depends on your application and what you do with the jeep.

The lifts that don't do anything for caster or track bar especially when going up over 2.5 inches concern me. I'm probably going metalcloak with the upper control arms and over time I'll get the rest of the control arms and swap out the front dive shaft. This let's me get quality for less. If staying around 1k I would consider dynatracs 2inch enduro Sport (most like 3 inches for a sport).

I think I'm leaning towards teraflex or JKS, they seem to have all the components I need and still around that price range, I may up the budget to around $1500 max, I'd rather get the right kit the first time.

I’d avoid spacer lifts, they ride pretty harsh, this lift was smooth, nothing wrong with it.

What off-roading place did you mention in the video? Sounds like you’re saying “You-awry” never heard of that place? Sounds like you’re trying to say Ouray which is in Colorado , which is pronounced “You-Ray”, unless there is a you-Awry somewhere I don’t know of.

I've heard a lot of bad things about RC kits. I'd stay away and pay a bit more for a more quality kit that will also help resale.

I'm sure you might lose a bit of power to the wheels with a heavier setup. Bt it really doesn't make that big of a difference with 35s. 40s might be noticeable

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Your not losing power because of wheels. You lose power due the ratio change you made with changing the tire size. If you have a 3.21 to start with, add your 35’s and now you are down to a what ? A 2.00.

That was custom done! It wasn't a kit that just went on. Not sure where he got it done, but any wrap shop could do that! It's also not that hard to DIY!

While that is a good brand, just like on my Tacoma, I didn't go with them because of the price! Crazy expensive when there are kits just as good for less. I'd like to do an OME kit like I have on the truck, but I haven't seen one for the Jeep!

How did a 3.5 inch lift give you 8 inches of height?

8” where? Overall height? A lift 3.5” lift kit, doesn’t lift the truck exactly 3.5”. It’s more like 4” or so, but the tires also add another 2” or so.

A lift kit wouldn't affect the weight or power loss. Heavier tires would affect power slightly and mods like bumpers, winches, etc would add weight. The lift has nothing to do with those.

Mopar has a headliner available. I think it just helps with sound/temperature insulation a bit. He also had a net tied in there
