In this video, my friend Huli and I take on the Honingklip 4x4 trail here in the Western Cape, South Africa. Huli is here with his stock Jeep Wrangler Sahara JKU and I’m here with my Jeep Wrangler 2 door JK with a 2.5” lift and 35” tires. I made this video to show you how two different Jeeps take on the obstacles differently. I’ve also been wanting to test out my 35” tires on a trail to see if they will rub up against the stock fenders.

Keep those revs constant and you'll sail up those obstacles with LSD. Use the footwell wall next to the accelerator as foot support to help hold your revs constant. To crawl downhill in 4L put the auto in 1st gear and click the hill descent button. Traction control system will get you down by automatically applying and releasing brakes. All you have to do is steer. It's pretty incredible and almost makes things too easy :P

This was great, love the longer videos where you just let it roll out. But you can always make shorter promo videos thats a kinda adrenaline shot of the whole trip. Thats just like a taster. The 35’s just hits the sweetsoot for any offroad obstacle 🤟🏼🤩 But love the content man 👏🏻🔥

You need to adjust your front track bar to center the axle. That is why it is rubbing on one side only.

I like the mix of short highlight videos and longer ones like this. For some (like me) I don’t make the time to watch the longer ones as much. That being said, you did a great job on this one and it really showed a comparison of two completely different Jeep’s. Maybe you should do an on-road comparison to even things out. 🤔

Nice video! My tires are probably in between those tires and they do okay but I think sometimes mud terrains would do better. Cooper AT3 4S. When I'm not in deep mud they're fine and they never slip really.

Pretty impressive for a stock Sahara with street tires. I have one (JLU Sahara) just with 33" KO2 and it already makes a world of difference. Mods coming up in the next few months.

@@ajourneyinthewild BTW did you notice a big change on your Wrangler's road manners after getting the lift kit? I guess it depends a lot on the kit itself and the shocks, but I'm asking... I still have to decide what to get...

@@OffRoadQC Because the centre of gravity lifts higher, you can definitely notice that. Not saying it was bad, just feels different to what it did before.

What a great run! It looked like a testing trail designed by Jeep. Didn't look like you guys really aired down much, and that makes a huge difference.
@ajourneyinthewild
@ajourneyinthewild 6 ай бұрын
Thanks! On this trail we didnt air down as much as usual because of the mud that gets in between the rim and the tire causing the air to leak out - its happened to me about 3 times before on this trail so we usually dont let the air out as much on this trail anymore. Beadlocks would help with that issue though! Cheers :)
