It may not be true “off road” but it felt like it; big rocks, crazy inclines, snow-moistened dirt… and it did it, somehow. And my car isn’t even lifted!

This would be on another level if it was an XRS or a matrix AWD swap, preferably with the addition of the rare optional TRD supercharger for some more low down torque.
@jvogler_art47082 жыл бұрын
Meh, you won't need that kind of traction if you don't have the clearance. You're better off just sending it in a 2WD. a trutrac or a detroit locker is probably better. Or both AWD and lockers is probably most ideal, but in the world of off-roading clearance is so important. I would take a 2WD truck with a locker over an AWD lifted car for offroading. You won't get very far with your differentials slamming into rocks, which is why for this kind of build i'd rather just go with the cheapy FWD or RWD. Obviously the best build is a true 4x4 truck with high clearance, and front and rear lockers. That is the most ideal of all.

No one wants to admit this, but even without the lift and tires and all the novelty of that stuff, this is the best car ever made. This particular generation of corolla is rock fucking solid. The fact that there's one out there with 300k mobbing down trails with a lift kit on... They're seen as throwaway utilitarian cars so people are okay with doing this to them... But they're actually stone reliable work horses that need very little work on the engine through hundreds of thousands of miles of use. But because everyone has one, they're not good enough for people. The fun of this car is that it won't leave you stranded or breakdown and that you can watch your wallet grow while you save money on gas and car payments. That's the fun of this car. It's the perfect car to grow your bank account with. Ole faithful.

Yes sir! I plan on doing a TDI 2.0 swap keeping it fwd 3in lift to compensate for the extra weight. Rolling/flaring the fenders for that fo wide body look. Custom tube front and rear bumper w/skid plate in the front and a winch and doing a cb whip mount on the back the. Bringing the tub bumpers up the a pillars to a custom roof rack and throwing some lights upfront and some wheel well lights. Gonna do a Jeep style rear tire mount that swings out and in place of the original spare tire spot I'm putting a small air tank so I can put a train horn so where. And finally a tow hitch because I wanna make people trip even harder when I tow my dirt bike behind me. Considering doing two small 5 gallon aux fuel tanks in the trunk behind the wheel wells that just top off the main tank when needed
