@@LiftedNoise hell yeah! I'm having some trouble finding a cap I like. Especially the trucker ones that have the front way too big
@LiftedNoise2 жыл бұрын
@@PeteOnTheBeat I'm pretty picky too. What I've found works for me because I don't like how this hat looks fitted on my head, I notch it a bit tight so it sits a bit high on my head, too tight too pull all the way down and I tilt it slightly forward, so the bill is pointing downward at a slight angle. Sounds funny but I like it best this way.

Great tips, another one you could do is to turn quantise strength down so it corrects but not too much.

Are you using stock samples?
@repoman5581 Жыл бұрын
Hi.. the sp vs mpc live...which one sou ds better to you if using the same drum samples... going nuts trying to figure out which one to buy... lofi punch and warmth im reffering to...thanks...Ps.. and the compressors on both..which one sounds nicer to you...
@LiftedNoise Жыл бұрын
Nicer for drums? I've never loaded up the same samples like that to compare. But I wouldn't say there is much of a difference without processing. With the compressors, the 404 definitely has a specific character to it while the mpc is more clean. You may have a preference, I prefer the clean sound which is more about making the drums all present in the mix. If you're looking for a certain gritty sound it can be achieved with a either one. Maybe you should compare some other features to see what youvreally want and need.

Great tips man! 👌 what are your thoughts on the sonicwave smpltrek?? And the sp mk2? I sold my mk2 lol
@LiftedNoise2 жыл бұрын
I think the smpltrek is the most awkward looking piece I've ever seen. Cool idea for sure. Maybe I'm just convincing myself not to buy it. I like the more portable options though for sure. I sold the mk2 as well. Not because I didn't like it but because I wanted to focus on MPC production. I'm still curious to see what kind of updates the mk2 will get. Why did you sell it?
@burrabeats60362 жыл бұрын
@@LiftedNoise the smpltrek does look odd haha but id prob get one eventually to see what its like. Yeah i basically sold mk2 for the same reason. I use mpc alot more and i didnt feel the need for the mk2. Also the battery power on it was horrible lol i got a power bank for the mpc one so having that portable is the best 👌
@LiftedNoise2 жыл бұрын
@@burrabeats6036 well I hope it doesn't grab my interest at any point, I'll try to ignore it because I do love Samplers and am inclined to try anything new that comes out, but I'd like to stay focused on the mpc and work on my production skills and song writing. It maybe fun to grab up the newest sampler but like you said, what's the point, it doesn't add munch to your process, just alternatively work flow.
@HoldMyBeerFam2 жыл бұрын
Hell yeah more tutorial videos for sure, also how the hell you keep that mpc live looking like you just pulled it out of the box. Honestly that shit is cleaner than ones i see just unboxed
@LiftedNoise2 жыл бұрын
Probably the retro color scheme has a lot to do with it. The Grey pads aren't as obvious as the black when they got dirt or finger grease on em. All I do is keep a t-shirt over it as a dust cover and wipe the screen with a microfiber cloth.
@HoldMyBeerFam2 жыл бұрын
@@LiftedNoise I have the black MPC One can I clean the pads with those little Alcohol Prep pads that they use before they give you a shot? I have like 300 of them that I bought for use with my Vapes Mouthpiece to keep it clean but I was wondering if they can be used on the pads and not damage them? If not how do you recommend going about that because mine are oily?
@LiftedNoise2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure why not use those alcohol pads. I used to use rubbing alcohol and qtips and clean around the pad and button edges. I think the pads are just rubber, maybe look that up.

@@LiftedNoise I was reading WIDI had a 3ms delay. I was gonna use it when I played loops. Then I'd be able to throw melodies in and out of a mix during a brainstorm. Sp404mk2 or mpc one. I imagine the Akai Force would pretty much just stay on time. So I wouldn't have to worry too much about the delay, unless I was in note mode.
