@@johnbridal3204 yes. you can buy it with high or low prop placement. with the integrated motor into the mast the motor entry has very little drag so you can actually surf waves with the low prop too.

40lbs?!? That’s way too much mass to be tumbling around with in white water with sharp carbon blades. Foil Drive is like half that weight

I’m not sure but I think once you add up board, foil, and foil drive, you’re probably at least around 30 lbs for a lightweight setup. Still 40 sounds like a lot, interested to see once it’s out!

It would be nice if they had a better comparison of the model 5 vs X. I couldn't really discern any material differences. How long do these new batteries last? Weight of the board and battery? No pricing information??

That long motor pod with the unprotected prop, at that mid-mast position, basically puts an industrial strength food processor blade at your crotch level when belly boarding to start up or ducking through white water. Either put that dangerous prop in a cage at the bottom - like a Lift eFoil. Or tuck it up high and forward - like a Foil Drive Assist setup.

Only negative is previous wings aren’t compatible. Means you have to start all over again

You can use your existing wings, it’s backward compatible so you can us screws to attach your existing lift wings

Why are you not addressing the Foil Drive market?!? Move the motors up silly. Why spend $1000’s on streamline carbon wings - just to be dragging a dead motor through the water? Oh and, offer a 1/2 size battery option. Foil Drive is the current leader in performance to weight ratio. Anyone can build a 50lb foil board. Do you really want to be tumbling around in the white water with that mass attached to Carbon blades? Waiting for LiftX Gen 2

Perhaps get a Foil Drive 2nd Gen and take motor on mast measurements from that 😉

They have a high mast and low mast prop version. The integrated mast has much less drag than a Foil Drive due to how skinny the motor is and how well they integrated the mast.
