Can anyone help out here? if ligaments main responsibilities are to connect bones to bones and to provide proprioceptive feedback, what is the need/function for the coracoacromial ligament? since its essentially connecting one bony land mark to another bony landmark but of the same bone?

Hi, generally speaking, ligaments exist to connect bone to bone in order to do its general functions: - support & stabilise joints. - restrict undesirable movements. The specific function of the coracoacromial ligament is to prevent superior dislocation of the humerus.

Hi thanks for the informative video, at 2:55 you pointed out the location of the tendon of the long head of biceps brachii, isn't that also the same location of the transverse humeral ligament ? if not where exactly on the model is it located ? Thanks
@pierrefernandes18703 ай бұрын
Hi, yes that is the same location as to where the transverse humeral ligament is. It runs perpendicularly to the location of the biceps Brachii long head tendon. However the transverse humeral ligament isn’t shown on this model.
