Great outfits, the first is my favourite ^^ Light academia is quite what they used to wear in England during the summer from the 1920s to the 1960s. Problem is an oldstyle English summer is often close to other places their current winter. So light academia is summery, but not a very hot one :p Sleeves can actually be useful in hot weather, they protect arms from burning sun and lite cotton actually has a cooling effect. I would for hot weather trace lighter shoes then boots though. I would keep the socks for as long as it is possible as they are part of the look, so white loafers would be great and same will go for some vintage open heels. Never give in to the temptation to go out in flipflops or slippers with this kind of look :p

The long librarian skirt , vintage top. beret outfit was my favorite. Also looked like something you would be wearing in a used bookstore in Paris. Lovely pieces!

Just a slight correction. Your boots for $10 were indeed a lucky find. Those are not cheap boots. They are called "ropers" and are a type of cowboy boot, not combat boot. The brand Laredo (Lah - ray - doh) is named after a city in Texas.
