I always find the problem with this kind of sparring is breaking the ‘your go my go’ cycle. We need to try and counter as the opponent is throwing their attack. So much easier said than done, though. Great stuff. I’m really enjoying your content

You're absolutely right, there are many specific ways to do sparrings, it should't be just random throwing of techniques, sometimes we spar for position, sometimes for counters, sometimes light/hard etc. This type of "turn" sparring is probably the least efficient in translating into fighting, but fun to occasionaly do. Thank you very much for the support🥋🙏

Only this is the real ju jitsu.

Karate comes from jujitsu people don't realize that all the strikes that you see in karate is basically Japanese jiu jitsu. You're probably like everybody else who thinks jujitsu's only about ground fighting. Truthfully Japanese jiu jitsu doesn't really fight on the ground.

@greekpimp77 karate really comes from okinawa as a separate style but for all it's original intents and purpouses it's closer to what people consider "jjj" today, bottom line is; fighting is fighting, both karate and jjj are closer to mma than to their modern "incarnations"
