This is really interesting. One thing I do not understand is when you are passing the light around the subject, why is it that the final photo does not show you?

Thank you. The camera will only record what you allow it to see. Here are a few ways that you can stay invisible to the camera: If you wear all dark clothing and do not shine light onto yourself then you will not be illuminated enough to been recorded by the camera, also you should not stand in one place or in one position too long during the exposure!
