Gavin, I like the video but I do have one question, in the part (7:13) of the video where you add the 12x56 strip box, what is the placement of the light? Is it towards her, "feathered" in front of her, or is is straight to the backdrop? If it's towards her, did you use a warming gel on the light so it can be the same as the LED Chandelier light output? Do you have a light diagram that can show it? Your reply would be greatly appreciated because no matter how much I try, this is the only thing that you have shown that I keep failing to accomplish.

TECHNICAL QUESTION: Very interesting shoot which I'd love to try one day at my small home studio. I was wondering however at the end when you started mixing TUNGSTEN ambiant lightning along 5500K flashes, would it been better if you color corrected the Xplor 300 with a CTO gel to match the chandelier? Thanks!
@jer30063 жыл бұрын
Even the music choice was an inspired element for this shoot. Wow! It had it all: Chandelier, dual-rug wall, bee-hive wig, period wardrobe, and magnificent make-up. You are a magician in a 6' (2 M) space! Then... the inevitable Hoey Smoke Master Machine. No criticism here as I know you love that machine and it is always fun seeing you find ways to include it. Fireplace smoke in Louis XVI's palace, right? Really appreciated the lighting tips you offered in this great video and the gel was a touch of your photo genius. Thank you for making and sharing this shoot. I'm beginning to think your prop closet is larger than your studio!
