i would still recommend c stands for every beginner who want's to step up their lightning game. i started with one now i have 3 and the lights im using are 120d's and 300d's

Great content Tyler. Totally valid and probably under appreciated point, lights and their stands make decent cameras look a lot better. We started with lightstands, bought 6 of them actually before we got C- stands. Love all of them and together with two 300d`s and soon a 300X AS well as a collection of smaller LED lights, they allow us to keep exploiting our well used A7iii`s. Not having to shell out for the FX9 right now is really the biggest benefit of good lights and stands. The exception to that rule I guess would be event gigs and other jobs where you dont have the luxury of controlling and shaping the light and shadows.
