Not much challenge in out-performing the low-cost sound hardware used in the SFC. Home consoles are, after all, built to fit a budget. F3 hardware uses an Ensoniq PCM chip + separate DSP for hall/chorus effects. The same combo was used on some PC sound cards and low-cost synths.

Even then as a kid I didn't dig certain artstyles (and it was enough to put me off playing something), but other than that this looks pretty great for a 1994 game. Too bad there was so few arcades where I was from. I mean realistically, how many people had access to this game?
