You never tell a crowd of drunks a saucer crashed. You say a plane crashed, the crew is toast, and it's dripping something you think may be radioactive. Then watch how fast they scramble to get out of town.

Honestly that’s about the best you can do. Tell people there’s a wild animal and you’ll get any guy with a gun who think he’s Rambo going into the woods armed and underestimating the danger. No one’s going to run towards radiation. Hell, worst they’ll do is dig out a hazmat suit before they evacuate if they have it, no one’s going anywhere near it if they can help it

Stephen you did an awesome job , the pace was perfect the characters individually unique , so easy to visualize the whole thing. Tyler you absolutely nailed this it's written very well and has everything in the right place at the right time. I would pay to see this on the big screen. I've not read nor listened to Creepypasta before but am going to listen to this. Just a couple days ago, KZbin recommended, I Think my Grandfather is a Serial Killer, from your channel and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was perfect for the long drive I had. Today, I listened to, I Work at a Half Priced Voodoo Shop, and enjoyed it as well. So, I was happy to see you have a new video up and figured I'd give Creepypasta a listen for my first time. Also, just subscribed to your channel. Thank you for sharing your gift of storytelling.

You don't have to be a soldier in the war my friend's family died in. They were all civilians but the red monster had a bomb dropped on every house on her street plus the elementary school. Unfortunately, this one reminds me of her absolutely tragic story. She was the only survivor in her family. They were all alive when it hit and she tried to get them to "hold on until help arrived. " She was the only one alive when help arrived & they couldn't revive anyone. I positively despise the Red Monster.

3rd try - I was at an SCA event (Society for Creative Anachronism). There was no lunch served that day as a high feast was scheduled for the evening. As my girlfriend and I were driving around the area, I spotted a general store. We were both feeling a little hungry at the time, so I suggested going in. If nothing else, they would have everything needed for a picnic. If you have never had the experience, a general store has a little bit of a lot of things. What I wasn't expecting, was they were the main restaurant for the local field hands who work the farms. I did admit to my girlfriend that I wasn't expecting that, but I did show her they had everything I was expecting. Can opener, silverware, canned goods charcoal, basically everything needed for a picnic lunch. My girlfriend said she would never underestimate a country general store ever again. Anyhow, we both got one of the best BBQ chicken dinners I've ever had. The reason for 3 tries to post this is my other computer is misbehaving.

I'm pretty sure that the word around 17:20 is not vicious (deliberately cruel or violent) but rather viscous, (rhymes with discus), which means having a thick sticky quality between solid and liquid, a high viscosity. Get it right! I also doubt the phrase "Do me a solid" was not in use in that era. I still enjoyed the story.
