I updated my lighting setup to make it as cleaner. Changing up the way I hide the wires of my Dioder LED strips.

It’s foamcore. You can get them in big sheets at art or hobby stores. Just cut them to fit.

This is one of my favorite setups. Where did you get the platforms they stand on? And the transformer logo background at 1:36? These additions make a huge difference in your display. 0:38 shows a perfect example of having ambiance around your figures and not having it. I'm just starting my collection of Star Wars 1:6 and 1:4 format but I don't want to just set them in the detolf. I'm looking for star wars themed platforms and backgrounds to add that ambiance. Is there a terminology for these platforms and backgrounds that can help me in my search?

Thank you! I made the display bases and backgrounds. You should be able to find more videos on my channel that highlight them. If you are looking for more general information try "figure display bases" or "figure diorama" That should hopefully steer you in the right direction, happy collecting!

How thick are your foamboard/foamcore plates? 5mm? Considering doing the same, just wanting to make sure I get the right stuff.

Possibly. Not sure honestly, definitely thin enough to fit behind the gap between the glass and the metal rod in the back. I’d measure just in case. :)

Its made using hot glue.
