Very nice video, but i have some question about diet for a adult false map, so i feed him 3 times a week but what ? I usually feed him a leaf of lettuce in all 3 days and 1st day i feed him carrot and lettuce 2nd day pellets (zoomed) and the letuce and 3rd day insect/shrimp etc. And a leaf of lettuce. Is that ok? What should i change.

Can you please help me?, 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️ I have a small turtle. Recently he has been gasping for air with stretched neck. The vet said it's because of lack of calcium. His bottom past of shell is soft and his top part of the shell is a little bit misshapen. I amsooo worried cause I have been giving him calcium and vitamin D syrup for 15 days. And he still gasps for air with stretched neck. How can I cure this? I want to help him to have a hard shell and I am afraid of giving him a lot of calcium and vitamin D syrup. Please help me. My baby has difficulties in breathing nearly three times a day 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’m really sorry to hear that. Does he have a basking platform that has a light emitting uvb light? They need this in order to metabolize the calcium you feed them. It sound like your turtle might have metabolic bone disease, which can affect their shell as well as other bones in their body, which can affect their breathing.

Definitely need a uva and uvb light and a great source of calcium and vitamin d for turtles is fish. I usually get feeder fish every couple months or so for my turtles but pls update to let us know how ur turtle is

Hi, Is a 75W too much? Your link has a 13W bulb, I'm unsure because I took off the current one and it has a 75W, your video didn't mention the W?

@@sylvie1390 75W is fine, the most important thing is that the temperature is around 10 degrees warmer than the water.

Basking by itself won’t be too harmful, but the problem is that a lot of times, a turtle will start basking a lot when they get sick, so it might be a sign of an illness.
