Until you get more lights, i would pull the set in from the outside gate with the sketchy electric, and place them on the house. Then i would swap the set on the inside of the gate to the outside of the gate so it is more welcoming. As you find more you can look to replace the others.

Move one of the light fittings to the other side of the one pillar to light the path give Stan at Pannard a template of the lamps profile should be simple to make up a couple pairs for you ,the barley twist the hardest part,great to see Lightning tail up .

I was gonna suggest this. It seems like a twisted iron rod which is bracketted on a long plate. Stan could definitely make them.

Have you thought about low voltage landscape lights? I put some solar lights out, and they made a big difference. They come in many varieties. I like the low voltage because you can bury the cable, and they last longer and are cheap to operate.

Lighting makes all the difference! Glad you are on the mend! I would like to suggest you move the lights on the outside of the gates to your home. You love them and are correct to have them match! It would look beautiful! People driving by who see them don’t love them or know what is on the home! You could find two just as lovely lights for those passing by and that you like! The inside grounds would all be consistent with each other! You would be happier and enjoy the beautiful look of your home! 😊

Take good care of yourself Phil and your beloved Lightening . Those are your priorities. Everyone loves Lightening . The chapel lights look so nice and it’s good to do what makes you happy. Coming home to your lovely chateau washed in light is so pleasant. The two missing lights on the entrance would look great if you can replace them. I know your friend Billy had the gentleman who did the iron work on the railing, perhaps he could fashion some for you ? Where I live there is a summer home ( estate) near by of the Vanderbilts . There is so much ironwork everywhere on this home. I was on a ladder decorating for Christmas a hanging lantern and on its side was the name of the forge who did the iron work. Samuel Yellin. The forge is still in operation and run by his granddaughter. If all else fails,you could try them. They are in Pennsylvania in the US. Spring will be here before you know it ! Longer light filled days !

I really like that you are putting focus on the chapel. Things cd turn positive for you very quickly. And you are right on about doing things that bring happiness. At 71, I believe I can say that from the vantage point of learned knowledge.

Maybe installing a light over the chapel door and use the other ones to surround. Billy would know where to get those sort of lights. Or try something similar to the others. Nothing wrong with a little bit of light and you are healing up so do what you need to be doing you don't want longterm pain as I have. Maybe try an acupuncturist or massage therapy might help you more. Nice to see Lightning out and about give him a hug from us :) Anna and Philipp from Honfleur got some interesting vintage lighting maybe they would know also.

Wow the lighting up of the little chapel looks amazing - re the front lights what if you took the lights set (if they are the same) from the main gates that you said were not working properly for whatever reason & see if they can be fixed and put them on the chateau dining entrance so they match the other side entrance of the chateau and get others for the gates or take the ones off the 2nd gates to do the same then get 4 that match for there.... you'll work it out... but love the look .... also the idea of lights on the ground near the pots up the drive would be spectacular. Glad to see Lightening up and about and that your back is on the mend too.... take care and keep on doing things for you that put smiles on your dial all the time and make you happy... cheers Debz from Oz

Hey Phil! Hope you both get better soon. If you cannot find the same lights anymore. Maybe take the ones from the bridge and fit on the chateau. Then find a matching 4 that you like for the bridge pillars. That way at least you get the lighting you want and they are same in each area so don’t look out of place. Stay healthy buddy.

I agree, lighting is essential in design and makes me happy too! Why not group all of your matching lights that you like on the chateau and then put other sets of lights on the gate and the out buildings? You can replace them with ones that match the chateau when and if you find them. Don’t make perfection something that keeps you moving forward. Hope you and Lightening feel better soon!
