Excellent Donna, I hope it helps! Using the ground to write off of really helped me out. At the beach you can even mark the letters in the sand, that really helps too.

Awesome! How do you not get yourself in the final picture?

Because I am not illuminating myself so I will not be recorded by the camera. Some helpful tips are to wear dark clothing and to not stay in one place too long. The camera will only record what you allow it to see with illumination.

Mark Ferrell i'm not an expert, but in the photo class i'm taking we write the letters forwards and then flip the photo. makes it a lot easier for us!

I am wearing dark clothing and I am moving in the frame, as long as you don't shine light onto yourself, wear dark clothing and don't stay in one place too long you don't allow the camera to record you into the frame!

I’m still learning & every camera is different... light painting takes practice to master it’s not easy
