Yeah I also think theological liberalism basically gutted American Christianity for the worse, but this conversation about it is incredibly disresepctful to the opponent, and therefore strawmans the issue massively. It doesn't remotely try to make liberalism a believable or inevitable move in good faith for the person/academic working at that time. Thats very important to diagnosing the problem. You cant vanquish this enemy unless you understand how it operates. The liberal lives in a fundamentally disenchanted *world*. To think otherwise for them is to have a mental disability, from their perspective. Its a thickly reinforced worldview, and you cant just throw words like "Trinity" and "Bible" without their entire psyche throwing up alarm signals. This is effectively a call to reatreatism. "Enemy dumb and bad". That's not gonna counter the issue effectively.

Nice history lesson. Thanks . I think you left one thing out and that is Marxism. Brought to us by a German Jew in the late 1800s into the early 1900s . Marxism has been the yeast that has worked through the whole batch of dough of western cultures. Its influence has been far reaching in the modern church. Marxism works hand in hand with evolution and the social justice movement.
