Dear @NoName-ub5to, I can only speak for myself, but when the Lord Jesus Christ prompted me to read His word and showed me of my hopeless sinful condition, I WAS TERRIFIED, for I didn't want to wind up in Hell! I wanted Jesus to wash me in His Blood & save me from a sinful life! Thank You, Jesus! Glory to God!!!

The curse of sin still resides in the flesh of those of us who are Christians, sad to say! However, God the Holy Spirit indwells the TRUE believer, and our dead spirits have been quickened (made alive)! Amen, Pastor R. C., it's the Lord Jesus Who accepts US! It is God Who brings us out of darkness into HIS marvelous light, and NOT we ourselves! ❤

It's tough because the sin and temptation always makes you wonder. I only know that now I see good fruits in my life, and the activity of the HS from time to time, were before I did not. I imagine this will increase in frequency with the more sanctified we become in Christ. All I do know is that my salvation is ultimately in God's hands, and honestly, ...I suppose I wouldn't prefer it any other way. I certainly no longer trust in my frail nature to prevail... And honestly, it feels good to rely on God for everything. He has proven more loyal to me than myself. Just sayin's...

Please use the bible to make your point. “choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

Isn't it sooo GLORIOUS that we who Jesus Christ saved by His grace were predestined before He spoke this universe into being, that He ACTUALLY chose US! Praise our Savior Jesus Christ, Who ALONE is worthy!
