In today's society, we live in a culture that degrade the institution of marriage, extremely idolatrous and mocks with immorality and paganism God's true design of the family! It was so authentic and heart warming how Sister Hunt gently shared through Scripture reference the conduct, character, and the calling of "biblical principles and womanhood" as a Christian wife, mother, and servant to her God, family, church and community! Blessings to you my Sister, your husband and family for standing up for truth, moral standards, values and sharing the gospel truth!

Have you noted that Titus 2 and 1 Timothy 5 are both in the qualification of elders and Deacon's books of scripture? I question whether a man can claim to "manage his household well",( a qualifying or disqualifying characteristic) if his wife is working outside of the house. Particularly the full time ones. Even part-time workers would need to be very discerning. I'm not saying women cannot leave the house and are chained down to it. I don't think it's an accident that the attributes of a godly and qualified pastor or deacon are given along side what the characteristics of both men and women and includes instructions for young, old, and in-between. Also, there are two primary avenues that the word of God is taught and practiced, the family/marriage and the church. Therefore, what passes through the family will find its way and influence in the church and vice versa. Marriage is a microcosm of the church, so when the roles of men and women are taken seriously, then both will flourish. When that doesn't happen, then both will suffer. The consequences of the latter are evidenced everywhere...so sad.

I appreciate these talks about women hood. As a female baby Christian, the image of womanhood is at two extremes, the legalistic path and the feminist path. But, through scripture we can see the well rooted balance. There is wisdom in Gods order.

I would love to have a Christian community that I can trust with my children. Unfortunately, Satan has infiltrated the church and there are a lot of evil people there that prey on Yehwehs people. Times have changed for the worse. I pray He will allow me to find a church family that I can trust 🙏🏽

Elders of the church do not over rule a husband. Especially if those elders are in error. The holy spirit is where you find guidance and answers....

Something she should answer.

rina buendia It would seem that this was given at a conference. I think (but am open to correction) that they would hold to male only leadership and authoritative teaching in the context of public worship.

If it is at all possible to make a joke these days: this would be an excellent answer except, of course, it is coming from a woman. I'm a physician (also a biochemist and taught med students years ago). A couple of years ago I was lying in an emergency room screaming in pain from a kidney stone when a female nurse and close friend (whom I call my adoptive daughter) suggested they give me a medication. I said to the ER doc that if that had been suggested by a male doctor, instead of a female nurse, it would be a good suggestion. I think this whole society needs to laugh more while passing the kidney stone of feminism.

I love Susan Hunt, but I dont think this is the objective of women. We just want equal treatment, not to be called the same as men or for men to be called the same as us. We want equal respect for our uniqueness as human beings. If some people had it their way, we wouldnt have the right to vote. Sound ridiculous? It was mostly religious (Christian) men that fought against this back in the day. My authority as a woman is God. Even the bible calls all of us equal, humanity has distorted this.
@Scary_Sary6 жыл бұрын
Respectfully, I don’t think Susan Hunt disagrees, but just like the scriptures outline the responsibilities of husbands and fathers, they also clearly outline the responsibilities and priorities of wives and mothers, I’m sure you agree! I think the issue is when we confuse equality with sameness, because even though we’re equal in value before God as our husbands, our roles are different yet complementary and very necessary in the Kingdom. I’d like to know your thoughts, and blessings to you.

Some of this is truth and some is not, just her belief and interpretation. She is not the only person that thinks they have a market on what the Bible says and does not say. She make this issue very complicated she sounds like she is talking to doctorate theology candidates. For normal women all classes not just upper, its much more simple and not as complicated as she is making it. Just read your Bible and go to a Bible believing church and it will become more clear not as this women is proclaiming it.
@jennyburgos2187 Жыл бұрын
Asking sincerely here: What did she say that was not true? At no point during her teaching did she claim "to have a market on what the Bible says or does not say." She does not make this topic complicated at all. If you don't understand something you should seek to understand it by searching the Scriptures, praying, and asking your spiritual leaders rather than criticizing her. We should seek to listen to preachers/teachers that challenge us. Part of God's will is that we would know Him, and that can only happen as His Word is opened up to us through personal reading and study and sitting under sound preachers/teachers.
