There is a built-in offense to the Good News of Jesus Christ. In this message, Doug Wilson will explore the reasons for the tension between Christians and non-Christians. Why are Jews, Hindus, Catholics, and other religious groups offended by our attempts to evangelize them?
This message is from our 2000 National Conference, Upsetting the World: • Upsetting the World: 2...

This is amazing. Dr. Boice was called home to be with the Lord. . .I was worshiping at 10th Presbyterian in the 1990's. He had True back bone! NEVER Gave up, never gave in. He ministered in an inner city context in Philly, and our church was relevant to the needs of those who were starvinh both for food, and for nutrition for Spiritual food.

Wow! Has Doug ever been wrong? 20 years ago and he was correctly warning the church that its pathetic weakness serves no purpose; the unsaved will still hate you if you dare utter Jesus’ name in a positive light, and you will have no chance at saving a soul by failing to TELL THE TRUTH. If I had heard this man in 2000, perhaps i would have opened the door when the Lord knocked MUCH sooner. Instead I had another 18 years of drifting around and falling deeper and deeper into sin, all the while completely dismissing Christianity and thinking Christians were just so lame as the church as a whole continued to become more and more progressive, seemingly changing its mind on everything and speaking in their stupid little Christianisms. “My heart is grieved! The Lord laid this on my heart today and I felt I just had to lament...” And because so many fell for this lingo, ate up the fake profundity of the Jon Piper’s and the toothless, non-threading, pure effeminacy of the JD Greer’s and Andy Stanley... ugh. Many Christians fell for these people simply because they mouthed the lingo and pretended to be on the verge of tears as they said Jesus’ name while spouting nonsense about racists everywhere... ugh. These people are ACTORS; they don’t have the root of the matter within them, and so many fell for the pretty words and the fake Jesus with no edge; the Jesus who is only the lamb, never the lion. The FEAR of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, and no man will be saved until you tell him the truth and let the Lord convict him and do His work. Big Eva is nothing more than the Satanic System’s errand boy, a non-threatening, sissifies, toothless whitewashed tomb, preachers with no sermons, an empty-suit at an empty-pulpit, there to spout empty platitudes to keep the people in line, away from the truth, away from church, wearing masks, and waiting to enter the Great Reset like so many lambs to slaughter. Listen to Doug Wilson. Stir up some offense in the wicked... they have no problem doing it to us, and yet WE are the ones commanded to do so with the unbelievers. #BringBackTheRealJesus #FireAndBrimstone2021 #ShockTheCultureIntoSalvation

Sad that Douglas Wilson has not been invited in many years. Most of Reformed Pastors and Preachers have a lot to learn from him. He not only preach at pulpit but by God's grace his ministry is coherent by involving his family in. 1 Timothy 3:5. Doug said: "If one of my family members backslide I leave the ministry. Doug is an example that first ministry before Church ministry is tje Family.

He left a healthy legacy that spread throughout the world amd to suburban Philadelphia in Newtown, Pa amd Doyleatown, Pa respectively. If you are reading this consider moving to Philadelphia, Pa and helping Christians grow in a spiritually needy mission field here in Pennsylvannia. Join us in 2021 as we contend for the faith .

Why are Christians always At Each Other in the comments section of almost every single good sermon I am listening to ..? I am a new and reforming Christian again and I remember why I was so eager to run for the hills over a decade ago when I should have been drawing closer to God .. I did end up with countless trips around the mountain for almost 20 years because of the enemy of this world and the truth about most Christians .. We are Christians, sinner to sinner under God in Jesus name and l and back and here to say .. I am Jp and mum use to say daily to me "Son, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything thing at all".. Sound Advice .. ChildrenOFaith .. Truth + Love = Wisdom .. Love Always your Jp

I think it's almost sad, as what Doug was talking about 20 years ago in this message hasn't changed. In fact, in a way it's gotten worse. What encourages me, though, is that many men like him have clung to the unchanging word of God. 20 years on here in 2020, Pastor Wilson still preaches relentlessly against the decadence of American, seeker-sensitive Christian culture.

Great sermon. I would, however, plead with you to not confuse contemporary style with a lack of substance. It is possible to have drums, modern music, coffee shops, flashy lights, and all of the other exterior things often associated with "seeker sensitive" without compromising the message of the Gospel. A lack of substance is a problem whether it's in a megachurch or a monastery. Conversely, any church that preaches unbridled biblical truth is doing God's work, regardless of the inconsequential things surrounding it.

I've been struggling with what Doug was saying about Judging your Christian brother. First I would like to to add , there is to kinds of Judgment, discernment and condemnation. I see alot of so Christian who are those hyper GRACE kinda folk. We Know a true Biblical Christian when we encounter. There is a kindred spirit of fellowship. How ever when I encounter a self professed Christian and he is coursing with the rest of the guys . I have issues. I'm convicted in my heart to warn that so called Christian. Agine my Judgement tells me something is not right. Now I'm judging my so called brother. I wish Doug would of touched on that. Please look up these SCRIPTURES. Ezk 3:22, Mal 3: 17-18, in Matt 7 : 16, I know Our LORD IS given us instructions here, on How we should be discerning on false Prophets, however the same principle can be applied to false converts , we have to make a discerning judgment here. GOD be with you all.
