IF he's right and NEro killed himself how is that lining up? IN Revelations 19 it's clear what Jesus does to the beast ie antichrist. And the man of lawlnesses wasn't always the anti christ in the GBible just as the spirit of the anti christ once more is not the anti christ it's talking about evil men like Nero and others! This is impsosible! So again if Nero was what the guy claimed then why didn't we hear this happent o him? Why are we sitll here? Are you saying or is this man saying that this is the new heaven and new earth also referred to as the New Jerusealem? That makes 0 sense!

The fact is that there is no way that Nero was the beast the fact is the anticrhist and beast are one and the same. Also at no point did anyone take the mark of the beast back then no one was restricted the list goes on. The fact is this man is mislead. I don't understand how he got to this conclusion. It means that if that were the case that since NEros' time this world has been in tribulation! How can that be? I was privileged to attend several of R. C.s conferences in the 90s. He remains (through his legacy) one of the finest, most biblically honest, and articulate theologians of our time. I look forward to seeing him again in the coming Kingdom of God. I have been a student of escatology for nearly 50 years and in that time I've learned how important it is to hold ones views loosely and be open to other perspectives since as Paul says "we know it part". Of course, Nero was an excellent and obvious candidate for the antichrist. I John 2:18 indicates there are "many" antichrists in the world and probably there have been many manifestations of the antichrist spirit throughout history. I believe we have yet to see the final and most horrific expression of the "antichrist" before the return of Christ. I also believe the true church of Jesus Christ will fully recognize him when he's on the world stage and there will no longer be any need for debate.

Study the Lord’s appointed days also known as His feasts days so you can understand the rapture and the mark of the beast. I have seen a lot of people talking about messiah's return online and I have had many people ask me about it. There is much confusion on the events of the end times. One misconception is that we are going to be gathered with him before the tribulation but from his own words in Mattew 24 it is not until after the tribulation that we are gathered. Matt 24:29-31 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. The loud trumpet call is referencing Yom Teruah (literally "day of shouting or blasting") also know as the Feast of Trumpets. Satan loves to mix and confuse. Daniel 7:25 He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time. The mark of the beast is torahlessness (lawlessness). Read Deuteronomy chapter 6. Deuteronomy 6:8, You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. Most people don’t realize that God has a mark and it is in the same place as Satan‘s mark. So the mark of the beast has to be the opposite of the mark of God. Remember the Hebrews thought more about function then they did form. So what is the function of the mark on the forehead in the hand? It is all about what your thoughts and actions. My advice focus on the mark of God and you’ll never have to worry about the Mark of the beast. It is not just one act or command we are to keep. It is ALL of the instructions (Torah) the Lord has given us. Here is an other example. Exodus 13:7-10 - Unleavened bread shall be eaten for seven days; no leavened bread shall be seen with you, and no leaven shall be seen with you in all your territory. You shall tell your son on that day, 'It is because of what the LORD did for me when I came out of Egypt.' And it shall be to you as a sign on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the law of the LORD may be in your mouth. For with a strong hand the LORD has brought you out of Egypt. You shall therefore keep this statute at its appointed time from year to year. Ezekiel 9:4 - And the LORD said to him, “Pass through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in it.” This is what Daniel says about the end times. Daniel 7:25 - He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time. The law (Torah) and the times (appointed days) written of here are what Satan attacks because he knows that if he can change them in the minds of people he can conquer and rule in our lives. He does this by mixing and confusion. So without the mark people are unable to buy or sell. First thing I ask myself, is this a literal, concrete buying and selling or is this an abstract thought rooted in a concrete idea? In Revelation 3:18 God counsels the Church in Laodicea to buy gold from him - I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. Stay alert and read your Bibles.

Scholars differ concerning the book's dating. Those favoring a later date tend to rely on extra-biblical sources (including several Church Fathers), while those advocating for an earlier date tend to rely on internal, biblical evidence. BTW, Titus sacked Jerusalem in 70 AD.

It has to be a future event. Unfortunately Bible scholars tend to miss the mark (pun intended) when it comes to Revelation. Another thing to ponder. A fellow I knew brought out that the name of Bill Clinton in both Greek and Hebrew came out to be 666. "Domitian, Vespasian’s other son, ruled as an absolute dictator and was a notorious persecutor of Christians. Expressed in Roman numerals, 666 is DCLXVI-the first six numeric letters of that writing system. The scholar Robert Graves concludes that this stands for Domitius Caesar Legatos Xti Violenter Interfecit-which translates roughly to “The Emperor Domitian violently killed the ambassadors of Christ.” It is also likely that Domitian was the Emperor while John was writing his Revelation." But none of these things proves the point conclusively. You can juggle numbers and gematria any way you want, and make it say anything you want, pretty much. But remember this one thing, the Scripture says, "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;" [Second Thessalonians 2:3] The AntiChrist will be REVEALED! You won't be able to figure out who it is by being clever. It's not given for anyone to know UNTIL the time.

The book of Revelations is a symbolic book. A mark of the beast is what they do (hand denotes action) and what they believe in (forehead denotes belief). A significant mark of the beast is their worship, service of and belief in images. Another mark is their use of sorceries. I love your teaching, and I agree that Nero characterized a good number of the attributes of the beast... However, Revelation 13 describes so many more attributes that Nero falls short of, and I think the first portion of verse 12 is a key in this passage. Verses 13, 14 and 15 are far beyond the abilities of Nero. Verses 16 and 17 are yet to be covered by a leader in this world as well... I think Nero was A beast, but I think there must be yet another to fulfill the rest of the attributes of the beast in that chapter of the Revelation... I look forward to any feedback and any debates that cause us to delve deeper into the word of God.

John was writing near the end of his life around AD 90 over 20 years after the destruction of the temple in AD70. He is clearly describing a future beast. Beale in his commentary on Rev 13 says that the beast from the sea is a composite of all antichristian world governments that will ultimately have a single leader. Satan was chained at the cross and has been restrained. At the end he will be released for a short time. This is explained in 2 Thess 2 and Rev 20.

The letters to the Asian church indicate a number of heresies that would take time to develop. This is an internal evidence for a later date. John wrote to his churches there having once been Paul’s churches Paul died under Nero. Tertullian said that John took over these churches after he had fled from Jerusalem, they were called John’s nurselings. He would then have written to them as their shepherd after 70AD. It then cannot have been written before the siege of Jerusalem.

This is a very solid teaching but it's missing massive points... The biggest of these is how come the unanimous consensus of the church fathers and I do mean unanimous, is that the restrainer that keeps the man of sin from coming is indeed the Roman Empire which did not fall until the late 5th century. In addition the book of Revelation is almost certainly dated too being written after emperor Nero. The church father irenaeus even wrote about deciphering the number of the beast... And he never mentioned Nero at all. The Roman emperor had many titles but within 50 to 70 years after the last Roman emperor had finally been defeated, a new Roman leader emerged and took power and received power, and even took the name from the emperor's Pontifus Maximus. We all know him today as the bishop of Rome.

The beast in Revelation 13 is a composite image of the beasts of Daniel. That means it represents all the kingdoms that persecuted God's people from Babylon to Rome. But one of the heads that was wounded was Rome, which was destroyed on 476AD. But it revived, meaning the kingdoms that formed the Roman Empire continued to be politically aligned and militarily conquer and rule the world until the 18th century when revolutions and the constitutional republic created sovereign nation states. So, from the the 5th century to the 18th century is rought 1200 to 1300 years or 1260 days in Revelation 13. The second beast is the religions anti Christian church that helped the Political empire.

These philosophies are based on mystery just as hinduism, which is a very old religion, by the way, that started contemporarily with the delivery of the law to Israel back in 1400-1500 bC. That is why, in my opinion, what John saw in Revelation meant something for his time but also for the times to come, and maybe, maybe, that is why the Lord said to him to write what he has seen, what is and what is to come after as if he was saying what you have seen is the same that is and is going to happen again in the times to come. That is the way I approach to Revelation and that is why I have the hope in Christ coming again.

To me the fact that seven is applied to this vision tells me like God is in control accomplishing his purpose by overruling the evil. So, 7 is the denominator for everything that God perfectly is and perfectly does. In this case God also uses evil in a perfect fashion to accomplished the purposes described in Jeremiah 9:24. Evil is no match to him, it is another reality that he employs using proper tools outside of him for that purpose. That is why Revelation is about God beating all expectations against him. The eleventh chapter of Daniel deals with the dynasty of Antiochus, who defiled and desecrated the Temple, circumcision and Sabbath keeping was ceased by him,he instituted his own form of worship to Jupiter and only after 2300 days all was reconquered by the Maccabean and the Temple was reconsacrated. In my many years on this planet I’ve heard numerous, respected teachers teach on these end time scriptures and unfortunately they have all been wrong. So if our best scholars don’t understand end time scriptures then we have to conclude that 1) the meaning of these scriptures are not revealed to us yet or 2) we are interpreting it too literally (not spiritually enough). I personally think it is #2. When it speaks of ‘the beast’, and the wording sounds singular in nature - I ‘think’ God may be using the term ‘the beast’ as a term for unsaved, wicked mankind in general. If we keep looking for a specific person then every powerful politician becomes a candidate. If we look at it as unsaved mankind in general it still makes sense, just in a different way.

Are these "scholars" not false teachers? Feeding themselves and not the flock? I think so. Otherwise they would not be so touted. Satan in his hierarchy would not support them. We are living in his kingdom now, after all. Just as God came in the flesh, so too will satan manifest in the flesh. He will stand in the temple declaring himself to be "god". (2. Thess 2.4) Just like he promised Adam and Eve in Genesis 3. Not only does John in Revelation mention a Beast, he also says that Apollyon will be set loose (Rev 9.11), a false prophet and a dragon, together with a woman riding the beast are all described. All of these characters/entities are real and the spiritual component is pure evil. The time Messiah talk about this happening is called "the great tribulation", which is upon us now. A tribulum is a farming implement, used to thresh the wheat from the chaff. But you are right, those who hate God are like a beast, like legion and they will all wonder and follow after the beast. That's the late date usually favored by futurists. Internal evidence in Revelation has the temple still standing (It was destroyed in 70AD.) and Nero being the emperor (He was emperor from 64AD to 68AD.) when it was written.

Jesus calls the Holy Spirit a HE that is why Thessalonians 2 2:7says the restrainer HE must be taken out of the way. This is the correct interpretation the restrained is the Holy Spirit.
