Lost my sibling last month. I haven't been the same since. It's hard to get back to my usual self when I am grieving and hurting inside. It's even tougher because in my line of work, being happy and funny is part of the job. I am hurting everyday. I am full of regrets. Full of what ifs. He was just 33 years old. It's extra tough to be alone these days. Sorry, I'm typing without coherence--I am typing straight from the heart.

I understand how you feel. I lost my sister 12.15.22 and life hasn't been the same. I can't relate or care about anyone and that sounds harsh but it's truly how I feel. And I have a husband and 2 grown boys 24 and 20. I just feel numb. 😢

I feel you my sister. My baby brother died 11/28/23 at 28 years old. I'm still not right mentally. I don't think I will ever be.... 😭 We was not supposed to bury him, he was supposed to bury me. I'm 38 years old. I don't know how to cope with this.

I lost my little brother 2 weeks also at 33 years old. It was suddenly and unexpectedly. He was my whole heart and soul. My best friend and my better half. I can’t even begin to understand how I am going to cope with this and go back to work tomorrow. Please pray for me and my parents and strength to you I hope you have learned to live with this terrible tragedy ❤

It’s been three months since I lost my big brother to cancer. He was only 26, and he was my favorite person on the planet. He was one of the strongest people Ive ever known, overcoming mental illness and addiction. It only took four months to completely destroy all our lives. He leaves behind three kids under 4 years old, and it’s not fucking fair. My nieces and nephew deserve the amazing person that created them and loved them more than anything. I want to be here to tell them everything that he was but it hurts so bad rn

Thank you so much for sharing your experience & story. I lost my youngest brother at the age of 26 just 2 weeks ago. I'm shattered & kind of lost. I'm just trying to find people & videos on the internet who have been through such times so that I can understand what to do & how to do things. I can't afford therapy so listening to people talk about their stories helps a lot in dealing with the current situation. I love the idea that our siblings are still with us & sensing everything with us as we go through life. This video of yours did help a lot Johanna. Let's keep on living for our siblings :)

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my brother last month. It's the hardest moment of my life. I'll always think about him. I just hope this pain will go away and I can celebrate his life. We need to be strong for those around us especially the little ones.

I am so sorry for your loss, Johanna, even though your brother has passed awhile now... But you are right in what you said. When you lose someone in your life, especially a sibling... You suddenly realise how short life really is. And how important it is to live your life to the best you can, and ensuring those close to you, know that you love them. I have watched some of your videos now, and I have noticed you have such a gentle spirit. That is very special. I hope you never lose it. Stay safe, Johanna.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience I am actually a 30-year-old woman who lost my brother 10 years ago and it was actually a huge shock because he was only one you're older than me. It was very hurtful because he was murdered and it changed the course of my life… Your video is an inspiration for me to start recording for my KZbin channel about sibling grief support again thank you merry Christmas and be sure to follow me back for more of my story XOXO ❤

If you’ve not yet seen it, I’d highly recommend googling ‘the box, ball and button’. It’s a really helpful analogy for dealing with grief of any kind. I lost my brother aged 29 last year. I don’t think the pain goes away, quite honestly. And more so, it certainly hasn’t ‘sunk in’ for me yet just over a year on. I’m not sure if it ever fully will. But you’ll begin to pick the pieces of your life/headspace up again with whatever time you need. That analogy can really help.

I lost two people that even though they weren’t blood related they were as close to brothers as they could be. They died of heroine use and suicide. I am almost 50 and it still hurts. I lost a friend of cancer and another of heart disease. It hurts for all four but I realize I am older and you lose things now and life no longer gives you things but takes it away. I had two heart attacks and the first one I had died. I didn’t have angels or demons. I was disappointed because I saw nothing. Dying was like being a light switched off and then switched back on. There was nothing for me. Was I bad was there nothing there or was it. It far enough to see something. I was left lonely and more alone than ever. I am so sad and depressed. I feel no one will be there and the finality breaks my heart. I feel I am not good enough to see them and alone.

💥💥I never had a problem with someone going out on their own terms. if they don't want to be here anymore then that's their decision. it's not like living in the United States is some utopia. Everybody is miserable in this country anyway. Especially when you're destined to just work and you can't retire until you're 70 and then you die. America is a miserable country to live in unless you're a rich of course, then it's not miserable for them as much.
