Some predictions: Legion Remix (duh) An entirely new Plunderstorm type of mini-game. A new round of Race/Class combos. Either Druid or Paladin for every race. Expanded Heritage Armor to include matching Weapons (some already have this) Time-Walking Dungeons will take a hiatus later this year to be revamped

I'm a solo player. Used to be in a guild and did all the things, raiding, dungeons, etc. Left for 14 years. I came back because I was curious and am enjoying it. One thing that crossed my mind while listening to you was - I pay the same money that raiders do. Sooooo, it would be nice if there was a path for me to attain higher level items. I won't ever go back to raiding or a guild because I don't have the time and frankly, don't want to deal with toxicity that resides within guilds. Guess what I'm saying, if I have not been clear, my cash is as green as the elite raiders and it would be nice if Blizzard recognized that. I think that they might be.

IMO there's a very blurry line where we ask ourselves what should this 15 bucks a month get us. Only speaking for me here but I like to tell myself with this sub price I have the ***opportunity*** to obtain anything I want in the game. And I believe I do, from the pets and mounts to appearances in every which way direction. But ***when*** will I get them? When it's current? When it's in Legacy mode or available in the shop or Trading Post? Closer to your context, what about power? Shouldn't I feel as powerful as that mythic raider or dungeon person? And where can I effectively demonstrate that power? IF I can reasonably feel that power in a solo delve, would I feel satisfied? Will I care if those players in group content have 8 or so item level more than me? Or am I going to be trapped in "the princple," regardless of how it affects the other parts of the game I don't play? Just a sample of what devs might be talking about. I don't envy their position.

I did some googling and though it's not confirmed fact - unless you count Bellular a responsible source-he does seem to be a bit tuned in, that only 10 - 20% of the WoW population actually raid. WoW has over 7 million active subscribers so hitting in the middle at 15%, if I did the math correctly (forgive me, it's early in the morning and my brain is still a little smooth) that looks to me like only 1,050,000 (average numbers) people are actually raiding. Thinking about it while I type, that's a small group that seems to have oversized emphasis in rewards in the game. I think the devs are looking at that with the solo dungeons, and delves and the like as they should. I think we will see more solo content coming from Blizzard and hopefully, with rewards. Just look at Cyrce's ring - maybe things like that will become more common. Now, I quit WoW during WoD so am not sure if the item like Cyrce's ring was used since I quit but it's an interesting quirk in the game. We shall see!

Using "the numbers" in conversations can be dangerous especially if we don't have the numbers at our fingertips. Worse, it dehumanizes players into mere statistics. For example a million players who raid is still a million players; that'd be a pretty big city! Also consider if 85% of players don't raid at all, we'd have to break that down too, like how many people do dungeons and of those, limited to certain difficulties? How many of those people do Delves and up to what Tier level? It's very very easy to write a narrative using the data we decide to use while skillfully leaving out the rest, and create strong, effective opinions. But I'm willing to bet if we did have all the data we'd come to a conclusion Ion has said numerous times, WoW's playerbase is made of a spectrum of minority groups, little microcosms divided into different playstyles, skill and levels of dedication. And it's like a big ol soup cause raiders do other content, meanwhile non-raiders get (limited) access to raid rewards or can dive into those later when they can be outleveled. Your OP is the most effective sort of feedback for Blizzard and commentators like me to receive: your story. You can and should champion your feedback based on your experience cause it's personal, believable, real. I say who cares what those raiders and dungeon people get, their item levels shouldn't have anything to do with your enjoyment, and it's up to Blizzard to deliver a good experience that has nothing to do with what those people get, but still respects the inevitable overlap that comes with folks wanting to tap into different things.

No. You pay, like the rest of us, for the opportunity to play the game. What you do in the game it’s up to you. If you cannot do, for whatever reasons, challenging content, then you do not need, nor deserve the higher ilvl.

i am a long time player, since about 2005. The community nowadays is so toxic I spend most of my time doing solo stuff, so more solo stuff sounds great. Also spending 1k to transmog is ridiculous which is the average now, they need to fix this, changing clothes should not cost anything (its a gold sink that has never made since to me).

doesnt make sense at all since worgen human form is exact same as the normal humans in the game, while dracthyr visages forms have very different appearances compared to female human male bloodelves

FYI for cross-faction invites. My guild couldn’t be doing with the battle tag thing either so we made a cross-faction community. Anyone that’s in the community can be invited by an officer no matter the faction, no battle tag necessary. Side note: communities are also great for inviting yourself if you have a guild just for alts.

If they came up with a Classic season that goes thru the expansions, BUT MERGES into retail later on... would be awesome! Imagine being able to get another chance at the fomo rewards like Amani war bear, argent dawn tabard, immortal title, old ksm mounts, etc...

As long there is a shortage of tanks and healers, who can just pick what they like to run, the solo queue will be dead on arrival. The only way i could see this work, is with the dungeon finder luck of the draw buff, you get when running heroic dungeons with strangers. Which could also be a solution for pugs being so much more aweful this season. But that's not gonna happen.

It would be nice if we didn't have to constantly activate our transmog every time we get a new piece of gear. If my character has three specs that I play often, getting some new boots means hopping on and off of the transmog mount three times. Would be a nice quality of life change if they made it automatic.

All toons need dps scaled, then it's gearing/twinking that increases your dps,parry,leach,crit..... So a dk's biggest AOE and a mages are about the same (800k-900k) then the gear and gems to fine tune. Last raid, last night. 5 resto shamans mages and ret frost everywhere. We need to make all tunes at a even playing field.

I feel like we are getting either a new tank (shaman) or support (priest), though I dont think the support would be anything along the lins of aug. It just feels like they havent done nearly enough with Shadowpriest and void for the amount of void we are seeing. And we already saw a shaman tank

personally i think as far as loot goes they should make a single currency that allows you to buy any piece of loot you want and then you just adjust the amount of currency depending on the difficulty of the content a player does, that way it doesn’t matter what content you do you can get loot that makes you feel you are being rewarded, so for example a piece of loot costs 2000 goblin gold (lets go with the goblin theme) a raid boss at heroic difficulty would give you say 200 goblin gold, you kill 10 bosses you can get your loot, then a mythic plus might give 100 goblin gold (smaller because they are infinitely grindable) however since 20 m+ is a massive timesink it kind of balances it out a bit. getting certain track level gear (normal, heroic, mythic etc) would cost more the higher your track so say a heroic piece cost 2000 goblin gold a mythic piece might cost 4000 gg (numbers are arbitrary just used as an example) and of course doing a mythic boss or higher level key or delve would give you higher amounts of goblin gold. ideally you want the amount each track costs to be big enough that its not worth just skipping the lower lvl gear but not so large that you cant eventually get the higher lvl gear if you just want to plug along at your prefered difficulty

to me a system like this seems simple enough that it should not be to hard to implement (they had a similar system end of dragon flight with the bronze tokkens), it allows for power players to blast to the top if they want by spamming content and also allows casuals to do their thing and feel as if they are still being rewarded for their efforts

That sort of system just ended up being players farming 2s to max out their gear, which led to where we're at now anyway. The question to answer first is if we or Blizzard still believes in the "stay in our lane" philosophy when it comes to rewards.

@@SoulSoBreezy i suppose it would be too optimistic to hope people would not find a way to abuse it... the only thing i would say in defence of it would be make sure that farming it at just a +2 or low lvl delve or something would be making it egregiously time consuming..... as an example if a piece at heroic lvl costs 2000 units then just doing it on 2s might give you like 10 units so it would take an obscene amount of time to get just one piece of gear.... where a veteran lvl piece might only cost 100 units so you can get that fast

Not to take your example so literally, but I don't think it's fair to say a solo/casual player should put in 10 times the work as a more skilled player who plays at a higher difficulty, to meet the same goal. If given the choice between that and what we'll have with an 8 item level difference between a solo and group player, I'd definitely settle for the cap and enjoy the power I have in the content I do, than to super grind so I can match up with players I forced myself to compare with.

@@SoulSoBreezy ahh yes it was just to use an example, i don’t pretend to know what the right levels of reward should be, tbh i was thinking more along the lines of encouraging ppl to try for a slightly more challenging content rather then punish them for not doing it while i don’t want to punish any player for doing content that they enjoy or feel is appropriate for them i don’t want power players abusing the system to farm gear.... the idea behind my system being to give ppl a goal to work towards rather then the current rng nightmare where you can spend weeks trying to get a piece of gear you want/need. you find the gear set you need and then work your way through the system until you achieve your goal, powerplayers can rush through the system and gear up in a short amount of time, players like myself who prefer a slightly slower pace (so that i dont run out of things to do in a week) can work towards getting the rewards i want

More like hopes on my end and it isnt a long list but to me a important one... 1 hiring a actual support team 2 using the support team to actively permantly ban Bots 3 removing the choise of going premade into a BG 4 removing/heavily punish toxic behaviour 5 removing key depletion. If people want to continue resetting dungeons to get their timer then just add a 3 reset limit. 6 removing boosters so the pay to win aspect is fully removed. A small yet significant list that i hope they do to improve the game. Nr6 is a high hope thing since it is bloody annoying to make a character and see upon ariving a city the chat pop up and your drowned in advertisements.. like dont freaking push the boosters and pay to win on your players e.e. (Legit a thing that happen when i convinced my friend to try WOW the moment he came to Orgrimar he was like.... eww is this one of those Korean games where you pay to get gear and win?) Ofc he gonna think that when the chat is thrusted in his face the moment he enters a city😢

The faction issue has to be technical i see no other reason for it. I personally have a guild system and guild UI revamp on my wishlist, its long overdue and the best way to play the game.

gold sinks are not healthy for the game they are pointless. The gold sinks are there for the gold farmers, but they don't buy them because they can't make more gold from them. gold sinks need to be removed as they serve no true purpose.

Important to point out that gold sinks include vendor sold materials which help provide a price floor. If gold never left the market, a brand new player would see obscene costs to everything and would have no recourse but to buy a wow token. Scaling currency drops from mobs as a response would only exacerbate the issue even further. Unless your point is you're pro wow token, then nevermind.

They have the bronze dragons which can basically create any freaking timeline so the timeline I want is all the looks of retail with all the gameplay of classic. The end. I want classic to look a like retail and play like classic. Since playing the 20th anniversary I've noticed that in retail I have completely lost all appreciation for anything in the game and everything is now instantaneous which is unrewarding. They need a good ol' bronze dragon reset of the systems

Adding actual new content to Classic is the wrong path. Only Retail keeps players really coming back again and again, while Classic is mostly tourist stuff you visit once at most.

my prediction: this year will end up in a dud as bad as shadowlands. Why? Because Blizz has begun catering to the top 3% again. After DF I had so, so much hope and the preseason was fun.....then the season started and it sucked. I look at every change they make being a hand out to just the top players, then I see next seasons changes doubling down on it by giving the JUST the top players the exact thing that everyone else was begging Blizz for. So much for Blizz respecting players time

It's a weird paradox, I get a lot of comments who both say they don't care if it's only a few item level difference between solo and grou players but also believe in principle solo and group gearing should be the same. I don't quite understand how you're seeing it but since the start of TWW Blizzard took a sledgehammer to the divide between those power deltas and gearing has never been closer, but there're commenters out there trying to gaslight people into thinking the exact opposite.

@SoulSoBreezy I was not refering to the group vs solo dynamic, I largely agree that in terms of item level all players should be able to get the highest gear, if they are skilled/interested in pushing higj enough. What I was refering to is the things like no key depletion...above 12s, a feature the 97% has been asking for, given only to the top. The higher crest rewards, mathematically you won't notice a difference....unless you are doing 12s or higher. The affixes being adjusted or removed: 12s or higher, and the players who do that content have openly said it is easier to do a 12 then an 11 simply because no affixes. No instead the rest of us who have 1-2hrs to play get 2-3 fsiled keys in a week and maybe 1-2 at MOST succesful...so my question for Blizz, and anyone who defends them, is why is my time less valuable then the top 3% of players? And to clarify I have a 2780 rating, I did my bit for doing high keys, but the amount of time spent redoing content I already did and shown I can do easily is shunting any possibility of enjoying the system

These days I'm actually less certain of how removing depletions from lower level keys would change player behavior in a positive way. Sure it lessens the penalty of bricked key but doesn't do anything to prevent the key from bricking in the first place. This also introduces a new and possibly common scenario: the keyholder will be the most likely to leave a group at the first sign of trouble knowing there's no penalty for them anymore. And we return to this circular argument of how it's Blizzard's fault.

In fairness...yeah it's so they can finish a delve faster, or have an easier time soloing slightly older raids or dungeons, or so they can get the mythic appearance. They wanting better gear doesn't have anything to do with you, I imagine. It's up to us to be offended by that or not.

@ well in the grand scheme of things it could affect “me” by the developer taking a more casual approach to players who don’t want to socialise (this game is a MMO btw) and neglecting aspects of the game that make it the mmo we love it for. Just take a look at destiny 2, bungie copped out and catered to all the solo crybabies and they’re currently about to go under judged by the player count and poor decisions makings they’ve made along the way

Personally I think there is a chance WoW might come to Steam or other store fronts, like the Xbox PC App, this year.
