But I didn't drive so I let my stripper friend drive it. Then we ended up dancing at another club. She started hanging around a scummy lil thief ass troll. They stole my car and drove to California. She came back like 6 months later. Now I'm married..me and my husband see her and troll pull into rite aid. When she went into the store we got into my car and drove away

I had a bike stolen off of my 3rd floor balcony once, 3 or 4 months later I was downtown and saw a dude riding my bike. I was with a few friends out to eat so I didn't hesitate to say something to the guy. He immediately said that I was mistaken and hes had the bike for five years (the bike wasn't even a year old) the lying thief forgot to cut the chain off of it so while he was acting like I was harassing him I grabbed my keys and just unlocked the lock, as soon as it unlocked his attitude changed and he started threatening me and trying to intimidate me into just letting him leave with the bike. I got my bike back and took his backpack in place of an apology. Bolt cutters, screwdrivers, shims, prybars, a meth pipe and a d*ldo were what he was carrying around.

It's nothing new that especially in comedy ideas are stolen. In shows like snl writers steal from one another, they have made sketches with little tweaks from very spesific podcast bits. It is absolutely more than possible that someone who doesn't get good ideas into the scripts and listens to Theo's pod/stand-up throws things Theo says to keep his job on the show. To get as much material in as can.

I had an EX friend of mine that did shit like this. He would pass off personal stories based off of something he saw on a t.v. show. A true LIAR. He underestimated my comedy background & told me a story that was an exact ripoff of a short lived sketch comedy show called 'Upright Citizens Brigade.". I gave him a chance before calling him out. But, he swore it happened to him. When I revealed that I was very aware of a show called UCB & knew the exact skit he was ripping off from, things got quiet & awkward. I stopped being his friend immediately. He was a douchebag.

If your job is to write jokes for a living it should be just another day at the office. If someone else coincidently had a similar premise nobody will care. If you have the same setup and punchline told exactly the same say way that's fishy. Personally I think the wooden shirt idea was indeed stolen but by Santino who was on his writing team at the time. Lil Dickey likely didn't think of Theo Vonn when presented with the idea.

I think its funny when musicians get asked about using other peoples ideas their usually willing to explain how it influenced them, but comedians have such a XL ego that they can't even give eachother credit.
@MMCLLC7
@MMCLLC7 4 ай бұрын
I kinda agree. I also think its about where it comes from. Music is from the heart and soul, whereas comedy is from the brain. If music touches you, of course itll influence how you create your own music. As long as you give credit, its like paying homage. But comedy is just ideas and words and delivery, and you cant just take somebodys joke and tell it different the way you can take somebodys song and put a spin on it or sample it in your own.

Especially if you're from the hood or poor rural, it be your own neighbors jacking and 90% of the time it's up to you to find your car and take it back. Assuming it's a stolen bit just means you're not from that world. My gfs car broke down on a dirt road in far out tweaker woods and we emptied it and left the doors unlocked bc we knew it would 100% get broken into overnight locked or not. If it got stolen it would have likely been found in the same area later.
