I believe it takes more than one rapper to start a trend, kim laid the foundation but i believe nicki made people want to follow it. Nicki Showed you how to break in the game. Laid down the steps, because i dont think girls rap like kim. I feel they rap more nicki in raspy or cute voices with quick animated fast paced rap voices. Kim is like the female biggie, nicki minaj catalog has a fair share of different genres. Half rap and half singing and way more of girl around the way not street queen

@LIZZY Jackson It's tragically funny isn't it. But the blame goes back to Kim, not the ones she dated that told her "she wasn't good looking enough". There are good fellas out there with true genuine love for women. Women should look for these guys with heart instead of the ones with money and prestige.

@alissa65 жыл бұрын
@@damnson5079 BS, she's just like MJ, they lost to internal struggles of letting people or the media dictate how they should look like instead of appreciating what God has given them. Lil Kim was a very attractive girl that abused her sexuality and appearance. Wounds and bruises could either heal themselves or be surgically repaired. She butchered and puffed up her face, and bleached.

I don't think people give Kim the credit she truly deserves. Yeah she's getting her flowers, yes she got a BET Icon Award, yes she's presenting at different ceremonies but I feel like it's a bit of the end of the short-handed stick regarding her accolades. Homegirl should've swept the Grammy table in the hip-hop scene for her lyrical play and graced more well-known global magazines during & after her prime like "People", "Time" & "Vogue". Although pop culture was saturated with so many black honeys during the 90s, TLC brought up a good point during a 1999 interview when they disclosed they had to work 3x harder than their white counterparts to "at least" scrape attention to grace covers/sweep a decent accolade for all their work, and that was coming from a group that sold a Diamond-selling record not too long before this single by Kim dropped. It's mind-blowing. I believe had things turned out differently for Kim - less backlash, more recognition - this woman would be celebrated more as a *LEGEND than an underrated icon. Nobody in female hip-hop was doing the things fluidly the way Kim was doing it, baby.
