Elegancia, tremenda fuerza expresiva y el más excelente toque perlado.

Finally a pianist who plays the 3rd movement as the Allegretto it is and not as an Allegro like most other performers do. Bravo !

I had forgotten how well Kraus played Mozart. Her playing is gripping, with every note telling.

Perfect tempo and touch - a true maestro of the ivories. It's amazing that she could play like this given what must have been the most horrible part of her life. In 1940, Ms. Kraus and her family embarked on a tour of Asia (IMHO this was not the best choice of times to tour Asia). While in Java, they were captured and interned in a concentration camp by the Japanese from June 1943 until August 1945. The Japanese were not noted for humane treatment of prisoners.

Kraus has an endearing musicality and I like her in this even better than the great technician and absolute musician Solomon . Her slow movement is a paradise of tonal resource and control .It's amazing no matter how many Mozart specialists with crisp light finger work , not too much pedal , restrained , tasteful phrasing never emotionally indulgent there will always be some personal judgement . Nothing like Solomon .Schnabel really sounds careless in this sonata .Do we have Curzon or Serkin in Mozart sonatas ? Haebler is astonishinlyg sensitive in this music as fine as Uchida and Perahia or Schiff ! . I see why she was so loved her personality and her choices in dynamics, phrasing , color say so much ! She does use a lot of piano tone I disagree with this it makes beautiful music in her hands but it wouldnt have been what Mozart would imagine on the 1780 Stein's he played .
