I brought home a 14 yr old jack russell from the shelter, she had cancer and I had her for almost 2 years before she passed. I loved her so much and if I ever bring home another dog, it will definitely be a senior dog. Alice was so special, her ashes sit on my dresser and I miss her every day.

I also have a 16 yr old rescue Jack Russell, he’s such a character, he is deaf and almost blind, and like you we will be heartbroken when he leaves us, so each day is appreciated with him. I know I will see all my passed beloved pets again, one day. And so will you dear lady, stay strong and have a beautiful day. 🙏❤️🇬🇧

I adopted a senior (10 year old) Labrador retriever. He passed away last month due to old age. He was with us for 3 years and a half. I loved (still love and will love forever) my beautiful baby so much ❤️ Adopting senior dogs is so important ❤️

All your stories, your life with all your rescues , someone is bringing you all together, I firmly believe this! I look at them all, and what happy children you have ! I have a shih tzu , named Zachary, he’s 9 yrs old, love of my life ! He’s by my side all the time, sleeps with me, on his own blanket. He is so in tune with me, so I know how Lily is with you ! I’ve had two labs, each for 15-16 years. Then I got my first shin tzu , had him for 16 years ! He was a great little dog too! Missed him so much when he was gone. Then a 1 year later, Zachary came into my life, got him from the same breeder. Didn’t want another one, but she sent me a photo, I went the next day and got him! That was 9 yrs ago! And he is my dog, with me always. Just wanted you to know, he’s like Lily ! I just need a dog in my life!

My husky was a stray and turned in to the shelter. 6 yr old male beautiful white siberian husky. Let me tell you, stitches on my arm, and TWO eyelid surgeries later (was bit in the face TWICE) I never gave up. He is the BEST dog now. I've worked with him, socialized him, and gave him a best friend (my dog PJ) and he is the BIGGEST SWEETEST cuddle bug. He was returned three times and my heart breaks cause he is my best friend and the fact he was given up on and never given the love and attention he needed, breaks my heart. Thank you for what you do for these dogs. I can't wait for the day I can rescue more. You inspire us. Thank you.

Telling the story about Lilly comes right from your heart Lee. In the beginning, you wonder how does anyone just lose a St Bernard dog? So cruel , but someone dumped her; and think how rotten her young life was with this monster. maybe received head trauma which caused her seizures. You do wonder don't you? I think that with Saint Bernards people get them when they are cute small furry puppies, not realising that they grow into huge dogs with a huge appetite for food and exercise. But you don't have to dump a dog, there are alternatives. Perhaps she received a head injury being thrown from a car, who knows. I have friend in Japan who has rescued two Saint Bernards and I am going to send her the link to this wonderful story.

I was thrilled to hear you tell people CBD oil fixed Lillie's seizures... I live in a school bus in Hopkins Belize and have a hemp shop for over twenty years... I was a big part of seeing the cannabis plant recognized as an important medicine...I have three rescue dogs of my own and would have more if I could afford it... You truly love animals. Not too many will make sure their animals eat before they do. I do this as well and love my animals as much as if I gave birth to them myself. You are one of those who have stepped up to the plate and helped animals no matter the personal cost. Lee Asher has done this, too. In my experience it has to be profoundly convenient before most will step up & stand by an animal no matter what. One only has to look at the “amazement” in the comments. Love & more love.

@@lindarussell4735 CBD oil is the extract of the cannabis bud... Cannabis can be bred to produce no THC... the chemical that gets you high... This variety is used for seizures and has instant results... Children having as many as two hundred seizures a day for years were given their lives back over night... CBD oil is also used by people with chronic pain... Bred with the THC it has pain blockers that do not effect your ability to function... It can be bred to help you sleep... The pharmaceutical industry does not want people to go natural but Jah knows what we need...Peace and love... P.S. THC is not physically addictive like pharmaceutical pain killers... Mentally it makes you feel better so why wouldn't you want it...

Linda Russell. ..no cbd does not show on any type of drug or breath test from what my doctor told me😊 it does not impair functions at all & has no side effects. I live where you can walk into a cannabis store & purchase legally. I buy cbd for myself & my senior rescue dog, we both benefit greatly from it😀

Now we are working through spinal issues that the loss of this limb caused. Every cent I have left from my income goes to provide the help she needs. And I wouldn't have it any other way. Being the only cat lover in my family meant it took years before I was in a position to have my own cat. Tilly came to me as a weak and sickly 9 week old kitten...my heart just melted when I first saw her as she waddled into my kitchen. I fed her with a baby's bottle then later started giving her some tuna brie mixed with tiny portions of pureed boiled broccoli and carrot. She came on leaps and bounds. She never left my side...we ate, played and slept together. My baba cat grew big and had the most beautiful tri coloured coat of black, white and brown. The white around her chest area looked like a waistcoat...soo cute. She was half Burmese half Siamese. We always talked together...she would literally meow to ask or answer me. She didn't like anyone coming between us and no one ever did as she could be vicious if she didn't like them. I think there was a bit of feral DNA in her . Having come from an abusive relationship I didn't need anyone else....just my cat ! When I was diagnosed with a Brain Aneurysm and suffered terrible headaches my baba cat would meow constantly until I rested the same time every day. She would lay on my back when I had to go to bed in a darkened room ...she was heavy... and pat between my shoulder blades which was very comforting when the headaches were bad. This cat became my life and made everyday worth getting up for. She was never ill...got her yearly vaccines and vet checks and never had any injury in all her 15 year's with me and still played like a kitten up until the end. In 2021 as COVID Lockdowns were implimented again...she started to slow down and didn't want to go out in the back garden which she adored. The vet said it was old age and that given her condition when she was born it's was surprising to him how long she lasted. She passed away at home in June 2021 and it truly broke my heart. Sometimes a love for an animal supercede's the love for a human and a bond is formed that can never be broken...not even in death. So I understand the feelings this man has over his animals...it's all pure love and devotion. I still miss my baba cat so much ..RIP TILLY from mama 🙏❤

My friend was a meter reader in a city. Every month she'd visit a St Bernard who was chained to a box in a yard. She gave her extra love and took treats. She retired, bought 35 acres in the country and opened a place like Asher House. But the last thing she did was go to that house, and take that St Bernard home with her. She couldn't bear the thought of not seeing her again and leaving her chained to a box. She also opened a grooming and boarding house for pets. Ended up with horses, blind cats, donkeys. I love that woman. I loved taking walks with her, and all her animals were allowed to walk with us. Her living room was literally lined with twin beds where each dog had their place. If they got rambunctious, she'd give a whistle and they all would go jump on their bed to calm down a bit. I loved it.

Lilly wanted peace and quiet from the last environment in dogs home. Glad you showed the tenacity to speak up for her by explaining your daily visits. Dogs are worth it by far, they don't change their mind though you changed hers. God bless you fella, we all love you

My daughter has dogs, no children. The animals are her children. Her St Bernard had a stroke and was at the vet, a couple of days my daughter couldn't get off work to see her so, proud grandmother of her dogs, I went every day to see her, help her walk again, a couple of weeks and a huge vet bill in the thousands and Bella got to come home. Area years later she twisted her stomach and the vet had her put her down, my daughter still has her ashes on Bella's bed next to her bed. St Bernard s have the biggest hearts.
