I'm 13 and at my school so many people already are dating and act like there so mature, when in reality we are kids and should just be worrying about school and our friends. The first one really got to me... I do really depend on people a lot for happiness without even realizing it because I simply hate myself and my life. I dunno, being transgender, having social anxiety disorder, and being just plain insecure about every aspect of myself, I have to rely on other people for positivity or else I'd end up going mad and most definitely killing myself. It got to me too. I'm disabled and have no choice but to depend on people even though I want my independence. I also have severe anxiety, insecurity, self hatred and a skin picking ocd. Honestly, I think I would kill myself if I didn't have people around to motivate me into finding my own happiness. Depending on people is never a bad thing if you're going through depression or bad times. It may feel like you're being a burden to others but if they truly love and care about you, they will not mind. It's so hard and scary getting out of a vicious cycle of depression so severe that you don't even recognize who you are, but finding the strength to depend on others is the bravest and most difficult thing you can do for yourself. In this case, I like to think of depending on others as a temporary crutch until you find yourself and your own happiness.

I know how you feel because I have been in your place before and if they break up and he tries to come back to you I think you should just tell him that you don't wanna be friends with someone who would drop you just like that every time a hot girl walks by,find your REAL friends because life is too short to love people with all your heart who don't love you just as much and who aren't there for you like you're there for them.and I know its hard to find someone you could call your best friend but you'll meet them eventually,like I said I have been in your place before and I found someone that showed me how true friends act and what they do.

I know exactly how you feel,me and my "best friend" have been with each other since we were born,really. We stuck to each other like glue but then, BAM! Secondary school! As soon as we stepped in there,a boy came up to us and was damn rude! My friend was rude back,then,it stopped. The next thing I knew,is that they're going out, my friend has been dumped numerous times,but she still goes back to him! The other bad,annoying thing,is that she's a gossiper now,so whenever something happened between them,she immediantly goes to me. I don't wanna hear her problems when I've got my own! I chose to go to the school that I now hate,because I wanted to be with her,but now,I've seen many other people who are my BEST friends,and they all go to a different school. The school that I'm trying to get in. But when I tell her,IN CONFIDENCE, she has the nerve to BEG me not to go! Omg I totally relate to the "leaning tower" ship -_- I have a friend who gets depressed a lot and whenever she needs someone to talk to, I'm there for her which is totally fine...... But she's come to rely on me SO much. Like she NEEDS me to tell her she's doing good, or to push her to do things, or fix all her problems. If I don't, she messages me until I do. I've lived on my own since I was 17 and I can't really relate to that. I would be fine with it if she listened to me too once in awhile, but she never does. When I try to tell her stuff that I'm struggling with, she flips it back to herself like "wow that really sucks.... Do you know what else sucks? Today I... (ect.)" It's frustrating and it kind of hurts. Like hi I have stuff I want to vent too! Even though she says I'm her best friend, it's totally one sided :(

+Heather Kaylie YES. I understand this COMPLETELY! It is really messed up, and somehow they always manage to make anything about you, about them. Or? They just go "Awww, I'm sorry. That sucks." and then change the subject quickly. I had a friend exactly like this, even tried pointing it out to her. She AGREED, and then... nothing changed. Went right back to the world revolving all around her tragic life. Friendship is a two-way street, I think a lot of people don't realize that. My only advice would be... to maybe try talking to her about it, and then point it out AS she's doing it. At appropriate times of course, never when she tells you something extreme like "Oh my dad died." or something, but I think you're smart enough to figure that out. c: Good luck!

Preach superwoman, I'm 13 and my friends have already had 8+ boyfriends(not at the same time) and I haven't had one. My friends are always like " u need a boyfirend to make u happy" and im like no, I really don't. And half the time their relationships dont even last 2'weeks. They are already thinking about sex, and i've talked to them before that we are kids, and that we should just play outside in the snow.
