Been doing hair forever. I remember the first electric flat iron I ever 3:56 purchased in the early 90"s. It was a combination crimping/ flat iron with changeable plates. It was alright but it was bulky and heavy. Nothing like they are now..Flat irons have come a long way since then.

Hi Genesis 🙋🏾‍♀️. I saw the straight hair on TikTok it looks so pretty with curls. As long as you use a good heat protectant getting a silk press should not be an issue.

I think she should have cut more since you don’t ever flat iron it. My hair is dense, but fine strands. I never see all my damage until I straighten, which is usually once a year. I actually am going to try to do it 3-4 times a year for length retention, because I’ve been doing regular trims on just blown out hair, and I haven’t been catching most of my splits. I understand now why straight naturals retain so much length.

Nah I’ll stick to the wig for straight look. I paid over $200+ here in Boston. Went to London for Xmas the next day, and that London weather puffed my press out. Wasted $200+ 😞 I had a throw on wig as a backup thankfully 😅

Beautiful hair. You definitely needed to cut more off. Your major split ends is in the middle. Focus on healthy hair first. A few more inches and you are good to go.
