As someone who has worked as a manager in food service for a few years now, I have worked with many a Lily Orchard at this point. So let me just say, if a new hire spoke to me, or any of my coworkers for that matter, in the way Lily has described herself speaking to this Candace woman who may or may not actually exist you bet your ass I would be telling them off in that moment and reporting them to the boss the very next morning. Lily's Burger King story cracks me up so much. I have social anxiety and autism, and had similar, but far more mild issues like Lily. The thing is I don't like treating people badly, so I regularly bottle it up. It's a lot harder when you're forced to interact with people wothout stop, though. In my cashier time, I had one bad coworker and only a few bad customers. But when I finally "snapped" honestly (at the most I was slightly snippy to an unpleasant customer) I was moved to a different station because they still wanted me as an employee. I'm still there after seven years. Lily, you ain't seen anything until you've had to pull apart two brawling coworkers and provide a witness report lol Edit: Holy shit, she threatened to drown a customer in the fryer of boiling oil? What in the _fuck?!_ She literally threatened _death_ on a random customer, I wouldn't be surprised if she was _blacklisted_ from every restaurant in the city!

Lorch concerns me greatly with how she operates. Several things in that audio file just stand out, such as her calling her audience fickle. That one stood out to me since not even a few minutes later in the audio file she talked about how abusers want an easy target, and with those clips you shared of how meek and submissive Lolo is with less then three words out of Lorch's mouth? Seems the Abuser doesn't like when would be victims recognize her shit and extract themselves, and of course have to paint it that she's blameless and a saint and blah blah blah. The hypocrisy about infantalizing was also something that left a sour taste in my mouth given she literally called the copyright strike thing a means of sending her critics "into a ten day timeout". Yet she wants to start another unhinged rant with her fans showing genuine concern by suggesting things to do to help her feel better? And with how she talked about it, I have little doubt imagining that she hammed up her feeling sick to get the sympathy only to recoil from the honest concern like a Vampire to the sun. What really got in my craw though was her talk about her job at Tim Hortons (Apologies if I misspelled that, its past 1am and I am tired). Something I learned recently is that liars will not only try sprinkling little half-truths into their lies to make them seem credible but they will overall try telling a story. The more details they share, the more likely a hole will pop up to disprove the lie but they don't see that and that's what Lorch did. Lorch is a Unreliable Narrator at best, and given plenty of people have pointed out a whole slew of her lies and inconsistancies, she can't even take that at best spot. I can believe certain aspects, I have been working retail at a few different places for almost ten years now and can believe a lot of retail horror stories about customers. However some of those points are so generalized among talk about any customer service job that it would be the easiest low hanging fruit for Lorch to plop into her bs pie to try adding substance to cover the crud taste. Other things, like her getting to stay for a year despite her obviously caustic attitude? As you said, Nepotism, and any experienced customer service person can tell you that when a bad worker has any sort of in with management, you can bet they will get away with almost anything without worrying about getting punished. That's what honestly got me mad because I have seen and dealt with that personally, and it ain't fun. Even then, there are limits to what those favored toadies can get away with before something is done, and her cussing out a senior team member on her second day? Nah, that wouldn't fly in most places, it would've resulted in a write up and probably a change in shifts to keep her away from Candice. Lorch needs to get a life and actually go get therapy, not claim she is when she obviously isn't, and stop making her bs the rest of the world's problem

I learned alot about customer service in food when I was fortunate to get a summer job at 15: getting up at 3 am 4 times a week SUCKED. Had a literal wake up call when I messed up here and there, thanks to chill coworkers I got a good grasp of work ethic though continued to grow with a solid resume by 23 and do high end quality work now in my 30s with keen eyes and processor brain. Hearing someone act like this to an older co-worker: that should have been immediate termination, if you're lucky, moved to another shift then termination when behavior is complained again. And their mom got them that job? Yeesh. If some brat told me to shut the f up so out of pocket: man, I'd give them the ugliest smile and write down their badge number.

Like I said on here, I could not imagine so rude or so distrustful to your own fans that your fans asking you to get well soon is considered harassment. Also, those job stories just peed me off. It took me a long time to get a job myself simply because I wasn't the most educated academically and admittedly I'm still not, I haven't even been able to get into college. But when I got my job as a crossing guard that I still am doing to this day, It really felt nice to get out of the house. Though I have my gripes with it... like sometimes nearly get hit by a car, being in harsh weather and still having to do my job (especially since one of those times ended up in a terrible hailstorm and It caused the school to be delayed for about an hour, with a tornado watch to boot... That was a terrifying day), and of course I do sometimes get snippy parents and kids, but I still like it despite everything. And I don't think that's anything Lily understands or is willing to understand. Not all jobs are retail (Though I wouldn't trust her to work at an elementary school that's for certain), not all jobs are going to be easy or even safe at that, not everyone is going to like you at yourb job, and that's sometimes what you have to deal with. Honestly, she's lucky to even have this KZbin job in the first place! But she's not willing to be thankful for it.

What Lily doesn’t understand is that most of the time “enforcing boundaries” with an audience is as simple as just ignoring anything that feels too parasocial Like obviously there’s stalkers and harassers and stuff but she could so easily ignore all the stuff she hates like the anime recommendations and the overly friendly questions instead of stressing herself out and alienating her fans by responding angrily I remember she made a very similar video like five years ago titled something like “Talking about clueless fans and burnout” where, among other things she got so distraught over the fact that she couldn’t get her audience to behave exactly how she wanted on one livestream that she cried. Not on livestream but in the actual video recounting it. I think she also claimed there was a creepy fan who wanted her to review a game so badly they doxxed her and sent her a Nintendo Switch with the game, but she might’ve made that up because it sounds very far fetched and similar to her other stories, like one about fighting off a transphobe with a bat by stabbing him in the kidney with a knife. Anyway the point is that Lily already made a very similar video rehashing the same complaints about how her probably mostly child audience on her cartoon review KZbin channel was being too childish and parasocial four years ago, and learned nothing since then. There’s probably older videos from the brony era that are exactly the same because her whole fifteen-year channel is just cycling the same opinions again and again. Her whole internet career seems to be this endless miserable friction where she fights her audience endlessly trying to change them into something an audience can never be. She seems to want them to be a found family/friend group/sexual harem that’s only ever interested in her and her problems and her writing and her art and her videos, but also disappears when she doesn’t want to interact with them like videogame NPCs, which is obviously never happening. I’ve never seen another influencer be quite this miserable with their audience. Even Chris-Chan seems to have had more healthy normal audience interactions sometimes, like “I’m glad you liked my drawing! uwu” or some shit. Maybe Hasan Piker is comparable because he complains endlessly, but he also gets paid the GDP of a small nation to do his job, so it’s really not comparable to Lily seemingly emotionally suffering so much just to scrape by. I honestly feel sorry for her because she’s got the exact wrong personality for the job she has. Some people just can’t deal with an audience mentally and she’s one of them. She honestly reminds me of the fictional Kangel from Needy Girl Overload. That game perfectly depicts the cycle of those lolcow influencers that just make things worse and worse while remaining addicted to both positive and negative attention. I feel like after the big Joon the King video, and the couple million views from other drama channels making copycat videos, everyone should just forget about Lily. Not that it’s bad to have fun mocking her, I fully support that, but her existence shouldn’t cause anyone any negative feelings, only detached bemusement. Like, no one should genuinely feel angry or upset because she said something dumb about a show they like or said something stupid or bigoted politically, or personally called them something terrible over an innocuous comment or ask. She doesn’t have real media opinions, she doesn’t have real political opinions, she doesn’t have an interesting life, her channel is dying, and she’s a known pedophile and allegedly worse. It sucks that she still has a vulnerable audience but there has never been an influencer who got exposed for being inappropriate with minors, didn’t leave the internet in shame, and lost their entire audience. Internet audiences are very oblivious and forgiving. For example Yanderedev just kept going with his shitty game and his metrics and Patreon have largely recovered. I really would like to see some kind of legal justice against her for the sake of her victims but it’s not really possible to submit screenshotted receipts in a court of law. But I think her just being a laughingstock of the internet is good enough for most of us.

Yeah, Lily really is so full of shit when it comes to narrating her past experiences. Like who remembers her Guard Break video where at the end she tells her schoolkid viewers to immediately beat up their school bullies with heavy objects and "beat their fucking teeth in"? While she didn't necessarily say it, the implication there is that it was supposedly something that happened to her in school, and it would fit with her whole narrative of "I was a troubled but DANGEROUS teenager who wasn't afraid to bite those who pushed me down", a real badass, but also sympathetic, like an edgy anime protagonist. Well, anyway, Courtney recently recounted a story of what supposedly ACTUALLY happened when Lily encountered a bully. Turns out she was a bit of a pushover who tried to buddy up to her school bullies (which would obviously lead to a toxic dependency where she would hate the people she was trying to be on good terms with) and one day she got into an argument with a friend-bully which ended with Lily mocking the bully because his mother died, to which the bully responded with giving Lily a strong belt in the face and Lily was left crying on the floor for like five minutes. Courtney, if you're reading this, tell me if I went wrong anywhere. This is all off the top of my head. And yeah, Lily just seems to fucking hate everyone. Her ideal type of person is someone like Mikaila or Lolo who are obedient to her (as best as they can be, knowing how indecisive Lily is) and agree with everything she says. And really she seems to want to buddy up to Cameron because one, he hates Courtney as much as she does and two, he has two children who Lily really loves to interact with (and be validated by them when they say the Pokémon games that Lily doesn't like are shit).

As a small KZbinr myself, take my words with a grain of salt. But if Lily has this much of a hard time with her own audience after being on KZbin for this long, that's her own fault. We're at the point where when someone recommends her something, she can't just ignore it like a normal person. Her resentment has to end up in her scripts in some fashion, which is childish, and it's an easy way to grow resentment in your audience, which makes your job HARDER, Lily. The difference between KZbin and Retail is that you are essentially the boss, and people are willing to listen to you if you set proper boundaries. It really isn't as hard as it seems to do that, especially if it's not your main job. Personally, I love most of my audience, but thats because I don't do weird stuff that leaves me way too vulnerable to them or make them feel entitled to my time. Wait, so what was Lily sick with to get opeits? Because I have really bad foot pain due to cancer and literally having not muscles in said foot and the best they give me is tramadol and lyrica. Maybe the Opeit crisis didn't hit Canada as hard. But I thought it did. I know people who give birth and they get one Percocet and that's it. They really only give Opeits to old people, cancer patients, very extreme situations, or your about to die. And MAYBE for after major surgeries. @@Rondart It was specifically Oxy products Canada stopped over prescribing because they had a high resell value on the American black market starting in 2011. And you know how governments are. When there is a very profitable market they can't tax they step in one way or another. The why is simple you can't inject or snort American ones because of their coating. But you can do that with the Canadian (and Mexican) ones because most other countries banned that coating because it causes liver cancer. They were still over prescribing Opiates like a lot of other places were at the time. Just not oxy products. But from what I can gather due to weed being legal up in Canada they see even less reason to prescribe any Opiates nowadays. Let alone oxy which they have been trying to not give out since 2011 unless they absolutely have to.

I know she's been complaining about back pain but I don't think a doctor would prescribe Oxy just for *that.* Usually, if it's something that doesn't require surgery, doctors will just tell you to take ibuprofen, tylenol, or some other over-the-counter pain medicine, change up your diet, exercise more, and stretching. Lots and lots of stretching. And even if it was something serious, like post surgery, they'd probably prescribe just about anything before giving someone opiates since they're known to be very addictive. The Lindsay Ellis bit is really interesting to me because I remember when it happened she was asked about it on her now deleted tumblr and said something along the lines of "The Nostalgia Chick did a White Feminism™ where she said something racist about Raya, was rightfully criticized for it, and threw a big hissy fit over getting called out because she’s a diva" Edit: Actually now that I think about it some more, I also remember her saying that when a bunch of people are yelling about how you’re being shitty then they’re probably right and you should just do what they want, but apparently everyone who told Lily she has a bad attitude (which happened everywhere she went) were just a bunch of power tripping assholes? Very interesting.
