I'm a Westerner so maybe my perspective doesn't count, but I think "China doll" originally just meant dolls made from Chinese style of porcelain. But most Chinese people in the comments are very unoffended about the video.

wow. I had to go back and tumbs up for the Dark Shadows tutorial for NXY face awards, just because of this tutorial. honestly, i love this one more than the dark shadows one. i think this one more simple and inspired much butter. umm. the ending words were not exactly the same meaning and the 1st Chinese word was written wrong. but you guys did a great job. the make up, the idea of the filming, the background music and even the quality were amazing!

Ever since I was a little girl, I always loved the Chinese and Japanese cultures. I thought they were literally amazing. The food, art, and the clothing, so different from my own culture! To this day I still admire and respect the differences. Yes, there are plenty of racists out there (very unfortunately... wish everyone could just get along :/ ), but please don't get upset over little things that don't have racist intentions behind them. Just because we're white, it doesn't mean we're racist.

Guys, she's not 16. In this video /watch?v=larcCAhwmfE she said that she was 26. That was in Jan 2011. She had a birthday after that, and then this year came around and so did another birthday. She's 28 guys. She is not 16. She just looks pretty young. It's probably because she takes very good care of herself. Why is everyone getting so offended? If you actually paid attention, she even said "I'm using Lime Crime's 'China Doll' Pallet." Which means that she was inspired by this eyeshadow, hence the name "China Doll." I don't get why this is portrayed as racism! Charis, this is a beautiful look and you're beautiful and creative.
